I live in South Bengaluru and unfortunately my street is filled with 6-7 street dogs. They bark and bark and won't let us live in peace. The kids are occasionally attacked or made scared when alone. It's well fed by an old lady who just does not understand reasoning. The BBMP sahaaya won't help except nuture them and leave them back at the same place. NGO's have not been helpful.

Why don't these dog lovers get these street dogs as pets instead of just feeding them? This is my last desperate attempt before I start feeding the dogs which dog lovers may regret. Kindly suggest a solution if you have dealt successfully with this menace.

It's been 9 years since I passed out of mechanical engineering. Now in a good IT job in Bangalore. Have 4-5 good friends only from by class. TBH have good relations with friends from other batches than my own class. Reason being, i was made fun of more often than not. Just for their laughter. Was just a normal kid at that time, nor did I stand out in any which way. But still was still unpleasant to be there. Had to endure & speak with all as u will see each other for 4 full years. Nowadays, I have deleted almost all their numbers and even if I get a call it will be if someone is running low on cash. Most of them have not stuck to their core field and do other odd jobs.

Recently, I saw a batchmate while shopping at Dmart after years. After the first instinct of going up to say hi, i quickly composed myself and ignored him. Just went on with my day. Was thinking if I did the right thing or am I still holding grudges from long long time.

How is your relationship with your batchmates after passing out?

Happened last week. Left office and was going to metro station at Pattandur Agrahara. A lady from most probably uttara Karnataka spoke to me saying she wanted Rs 300 transferred urgently to her son through phone pe. She had coins in one hand and some sort of card in another. She kept saying she has cash and will give me and was also constantly showing her BPL card as if it's an identity that authentIcates her. Anyways, knowing about scams all my life which happen at Indiranagar and Majestic areas on a daily basis I just dismissed her and was on my way.

A few meters later I began to doubt myself as she is our own Kannadati and why will she scam and promised myself that I will get the note, check if it's fake or not and then transfer the money to the number after repeatedly cross checking the phone number with her and started walking back to find her.

By then she had found another person, an IT professional like myself who was already in the process of transferring her money. I hav5e them their space after saying I am ok to do it and she kinda dismissed me saying it is being taken care of and hurriedly left. Later speaking to him, I knew that she spun the same tale but after payment told him she is poor etc and she will pay tomorrow. He did not want to create a scene and as it was a small amount he just let go.
