Do people swim in the lake? And if so where is best?

Visiting for the weekend. Drove around a couple spots just to find either no swimming signs, pretty gnarly algae, or only hours of 11-4pm, and had to pay to swim. I’m fine with paying to swim but was hoping to find a place where we could just pull off after a hike, dunk in the water and head back to our cabin.

If anyone knows of where that’s possible, and safe/clean, I’d really appreciate it!

Willing and Able

Does anyone else connect with this song from the perspective of a strained relationship with a parent? I know it’s about siblings, but ever since I heard this song it’s struck a chord about childhood in a broken home with a parent you never quite seemed to have/feel love from.

It feels so personal to Noah’s sibling relationship(s), but music is meant to be interpreted by the listener in a way that derives meaning for them. Grateful to have been able to reflect, cry, and feel seen by this song, even if it means something different to me than he intended.

My dog chased a squirrel and came back with a limp. I found this blister/cut on her paw pad and she’s walking very gingerly on it. I’ve disinfected it and am trying to just keep her lying down to keep it clean and also to keep her from hurting when she walks.

Is this more serious than I’m handling it? Also, any advice on how to keep it clean and avoid infection would be greatly appreciated.
