Rapido couplers arrived for my Kato C50 soI can finally connect it up to my hodge podge mix of cheap rolling stock
Mate got a few Kato locos for me when he was in Japan a few weeks ago and the replacement couplers finally arrived so I can run them with my random mix of rolling stock.
Still need to get around to setting up a proper layout with wide enough turn radius to run the Kato 4-8-4 FEF-3.

Please show me your door layouts
Anyone got door layouts? Looking for some inspiration for my first layout which will be on a door.

All I know is I want two outer loops so I can run two trains in opposite directions, and then some yards / industry in the middle. Will be a DC setup since I can't afford DCC at the moment.

Algae had taken over my carpeting plants. Anyone know what it is & how to get rid of it?
So I've had this kind of short algae take over all my carpeting plants. Does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it?
Seems to be mostly going for the carpeting plants & moss. Stem plants seem ok. It's a high tech setup, had the CO2 to out for about two weeks a month or so ago & this algae appeared & has been very difficult to get rid of. Has ruined an entire DHG carpet & MC carpet. I've re-balanced the tank, tried dosing excel, tried a 4 day blackout, trimmed the carpeting plants right back and even replanted some (the algae is taking over the new / re-growth.
Around the same time I started getting a film on top of the water as well which comes & goes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
