Mind The Gap — a pixel-art trading game set on the London Underground. Buy tat in Croydon, flog it in Mayfair

Mind The Gap is a pixel-art trading game set on the London Underground. You've got £600, you owe a lender called PayBro £8,000 at 48% APR, and 35 days to fix it. Buy cheap in Croydon, flog it dear in Mayfair, and pay rent every Sunday or you're back on your mum's sofa. The hazards are all things London has actually done to me — LTN fines, the TV Licence man, a bloke tutting so hard your stuff takes damage.

The clip is a real run: stocking up in Brixton, tube over to Peckham, selling at a markup, then hiring crew off the daily offers.

Runs take about half an hour. Curious what people reckon about the rent — week 2 is where most runs die.

Three cities' road networks, easy / medium / hard. Can you get them all?

Three city networks. No terrain features, roads only.

Easy — if you've ever looked at a map of this place you'll get it in a second. One long, absurdly regular grid tilted off north, wedged between two big voids where the water should be.

Medium — the giveaway is the hole. A wide empty band curls right through the middle and the streets bend to follow it, fanning out in wedges instead of squaring up. Cities that grew along a bend in a big river all do this, but this one does it hardest.

Hard — barely a grid at all. Two long curved spines with ribs coming off them, meeting a straight axis at right angles. It doesn't look like a city that grew; it looks like a city that was drawn. That's the clue.

Answers in the comments in a day or so. I'm curious whether "hard" is actually hard here or whether the shape gives it away instantly to the right person.

Eastern European mystery country: 1 hop from Poland, 3 from Türkiye, 9 from Kenya. Only one answer fits — can you get it?

Clues:

  • 1 land-border hop from Poland
  • 3 hops from Türkiye
  • 9 hops from Kenya
  • somewhere in Eastern Europe

Poland only touches a handful of countries directly, so "1 hop" narrows it fast — but the Türkiye and Kenya distances lock it down to exactly one. Drop your guess before scrolling to the comments.
