Hi guys, does anyone know any good alternatives to Talkie right now?

I still like the app but the chats have gotten kinda boring for me lately. I’ll start a new character and it’s usually good for a bit, then after some time the replies start feeling really similar and the character doesn’t really act like they did at the start.

I looked around for other apps but there are so many now and half of them seem identical. Anything worth trying in 2026?

(Idc abt having a lot of features, I just want good characters and intresting chats)

Ahri from LoL trying her spirit rush charm on Gojo in a Character AI scenario. She blows a glowing pink heart at him expecting him to follow her around like a brainwashed minion.

the heart gets stuck floating two inches from his face because of his Infinity passive. gojo just leans in, looks at the suspended magic heart, takes a sip of his iced matcha, and asks if she wants to try buying him a sweet pastry instead. ahri gets so annoyed that she drops the succubus act entirely and starts complaining about her mid-lane matchups.

got tired of my micro-managing department lead hovering near my cubicle for 10 minutes every afternoon making passive-aggressive small talk about sprint velocity.

i threw together an ESP32 micro-controller, an ultrasonic distance sensor, and a tiny Twilio SMS script. taped the sensor under my desk partition facing the aisle. when it detects a stationary body standing within 4 feet of my desk for longer than 20 seconds, it sends an automated webhook to my phone that triggers a hyper-realistic ringing incoming call screen. i pick up, say "sorry man I have to take this emergency client call", and he walks away every single time.
