I know many of us (especially our LGBTQ members in here) were so disappointed and disgusted with many comments on social media (mainly Jay Shetty’s podcast post, the comments were vile) questioning Layla’s coming out as bisexual. Disparaging remarks such as “why is this a big deal” “everyone is gay these days” “who cares” “just doing it for attention” “just trying to be relevant” “wants a storyline for season 5-6” “everyone is bi”

Really glad to see that 99% of this sub shared in celebrating her openness and authenticity, and for anyone who needs a little pick-me-up - or for anyone who needs some education - here’s just a snippet of why it’s a big deal when a mixed race, former Mormon, public figure woman coming out publically as bisexual is such a big deal 🏳️‍🌈

Tonya says “we’re going to be cancelled for this”. Kylan says her mother writes down NO MEN are allowed to do her nails, and instead of talking to the nail salon ladies about what she wants done, she tries to gesture what she wants, like they are stupid. Like they do not discuss nail artistry all day every day with client. Tonya defends herself saying “I was better when I was learning The Mandarin”. In my opinion? Beautiful voice. Odd faked throaty Southern accent making it hard to understand the lyrics which were written by her so are deeply personal, I wish were easier to hear. I hope it’s a big hit for country fans (of which I am not) and Miranda fans (of which I am but one listen was enough thank you)
