Hey all, I'm a DCP with an anonymous donor and I've wondered about trying to find them for a long time. However, I've been hesitant to hand over my DNA to these testing services, DNA Detectives, or anyone really - in part because of fears that my data will end up in the wrong hands. I think we're in a pretty scary place with tech companies and biometric data these days. And I've read a little about law enforcement accessing GEDmatch data. Are there any airtight ways to avoid the risk of these services distributing or selling your data to the govt, corporations, etc? If you're a person who also cares about keeping your data as private as possible, how would you go about a search for a donor? Esp. appreciative of sources to back up advice
