I recently ripped out the smelly dog pee filled artificial turf in my backyard and laid some Bermuda hybrid sod. Before I laid it down, I threw down some drought tolerant bluegrass. It has all come in nicely and not needing to water very much so far!
My question: do I still need to put in Rye in the fall? Or will the bluegrass take over?

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to plant between my kurapia plugs while they establish and spread? I didn’t have enough money to get the recommended amount of plugs, so I planted them about 2.5 feet apart in about a 500 square foot soil area. I originally ripped out artificial turf, amended and tried to plant microclover but it’s just too hot right now. I’d really like a full lawn sooner if possible.
I know Bermuda will choke out the kurapia…anything else I could do?
I am in zone 9b, phx, Arizona. Temps have been around 105 over the last 2 weeks. Thanks in advance!
Hi all, I just removed artificial turf from my yard in Phx, AZ and prepped yard for micro clover. I covered the seedlings in seed cover/compost. These little critters popped up. Are these termites? If so, do I need to treat my yard right away? Thank you in advance!!
