Ik heb vorige week vrijdag iets meegemaakt wat ik liever niet had meegemaakt. Zoals altijd neem ik op vrijdag de trein om naar mijn werk te gaan. We waren 4 minuten onderweg toen de trein plots een vreemd, luid geluid begon te maken. Alsof de trein door boomstammen reed, terwijl er een fiets verhakseld werd onder de trein. Niet veel later kwam de trein tot stilstand en ik had al een vermoeden dat er iets redelijks ergs gebeurd was. Het vermoeden werd bevestigd toen de conducteur omriep dat ze slecht nieuws had en er iemand was aangereden. In eerste instantie dacht ik dus aan een spijtig ongeval, afgaande op het geluid dat ik een halve minuut eerder hoorde. Uiteindelijk bleek het om zelfmoord te gaan.

Ik heb dus 2 uur lang op de trein gezeten in afwachting van verder nieuws. Er werd eerst gezegd dat een evacuatie niet mogelijk was omdat we ons bevonden tussen 2 kleine bossen en heel wat struikgewas. Daarna werd er gezegd dat we verder gesleept zouden worden aangezien de bestuurder niet meer in staat was om verder te rijden. Ondertussen heb ik ook twee agenten van de federale politie op het spoor zien lopen. Uiteindelijk (na die 2 uur) werden we toch geëvacueerd. We moesten uitstappen, een eindje langs het spoor lopen en vervolgens trappen op wandelen tussen het struikgewas. Daar kwamen we uit in een woonwijk. Het stond daar vol met politiewagens, brandweerwagens en ambulanciers.

Ik probeer te begrijpen wat er precies gebeurd is, omdat het allemaal zo vaag lijkt. Ik vind het contrast zo groot tussen de verschillende fases. Van het helse geluid, naar 2 uur wachten in de trein zonder dat er echt activiteit rond de trein plaatsvond, naar het buitenstappen van de trein waar helemaal niets te zien was (pure stilte), naar uiteindelijk het oplopen van de trappen waar het vol stond met ambulanciers, brandweerwagens en politiewagens. Het leek alsof de fases niet bij elkaar hoorden. Het was zo onsamenhangend. Zeker ook omdat er werd gezegd dat de ziekenwagens met volle sirenes door de straat reden richting het ongeval, terwijl er op en rond de trein purse stilte heerste. Het leek de hele tijd alsof er niks gebeurd was. Ik begrijp ook niet wat er met die aangereden persoon is gebeurd. Buiten de twee politieagenten heb ik niemand gezien, en ik zat vooraan in de trein. Als hij niet onder de trein zat en het hele spoor was leeg toen we buiten wandelden, wat is er dan met het lichaam gebeurd? Ik dacht eventueel dat het ongeval een km eerder was gebeurd, maar dan zaten de hulpdiensten heel ver weg van de plaats van het ongeval.

Kan iemand hierover toelichting geven? Heeft iemand hier al ervaring mee gehad?

This year I'll be moving from Indonesia to Germany. I booked my ticket yesterday. I'll first fly from Surabaya to Jakarta and afterwards from Jakarta to Dubai, to finally Düsseldorf. However, my first flight from Surabaya to Jakarta will be through a different carrier (Garuda Indonesia). I called Emirates to inform about whether my luggage will be send directly from Surabaya to Düsseldorf and they told me that I need to take my luggage in Jakarta and also check in again in Jakarta. Is this information correct? I find conflicting information online that says that since it's booked on one ticket, the luggage has to be send directly to Düsseldorf.

At the same time Garuda Indonesia told me that if I want to bring extra luggage, I need to pay them an extra charge, as well as Emirates when I check in again at Jakarta. This doesn't make sense to me.

Could someone give me more information regarding this? I would appreciate it.

RKLB is now trading at 150 dollars pre-market. Even 160 dollars for a short time. Who is still buying this stock at these prices? It looks insane. Even after dilutions, the stock keeps moving up significantly.

All while (excuse my French) their financials still suck. When you take into consideration all their long term costs (which the normal P/E ratio doesn't take into consideration) and assume they turn slightly profitable this year, they will trade at a P/E of almost 2000 at these prices. They don't even have revenue of 1 billion and burn cash like it's being thrown through a wood chipper.

I foresee a big documentary in a few years time on how this stock made many people money, but ruined many more people's life. But instead of waiting for that documentary, I already want to know which forces are driving this stock.

Edit: the RKLB "investors" have taken over this post, which I was quite afraid of. They're literally everywhere spreading their own reality. I end the discussion.

Last Saturday evening I had to go to emergency center at the hospital because I felt unwell. They decided that I had to stay at the hospital (cardiology section) and put me in an empty 2-person bedroom. One day before I went home they told me that another patient would join in my room. I hadn't given it much thought initially, but I realised that I was screwed. I have Asperger's Syndrome and so I'm unable to deal with certain noises. One noise I have a problem with is snoring. If someone starts snoring in the middle of the night, I can simply not handle it. I decided to tell them that I have Asperger's Syndrome and asked them if they had options for me. I didn't act difficult, I asked them nicely if they had a sleeping pill for me. I thought I could not get a single bedroom unless I paid for that myself, without cover from my insurance. I assumed they didn't know about my syndrome (turns out they did). Apart from that I used my white noise machine. But one other nurse said that she wasn't sure if the other patient would like it. I was also pretty sure my white noise machine wouldn't do much since the distance was too short. I told this nurse again about my Asperger's and 5 minutes later she came back to my room and said that she was able to move the patient to another room. I thanked her for the effort. However, in the morning another patient came in and so I had to deal with it.

Yet, the same morning they told me I could go home. They told me the problem was a bladder infection and they couldn't find anything else. But I still had to go to the doctor 2 days later (today) for another blood sample and a urine test. To my surprise I read in the letter directed to my doctor (at the doctor's office) that I made the decision to end the hospitalisation and go home.

What is this? A mistake or did they really send me home because they considered me a disturbance? I have made a call to them today, but most likely I will get an answer on Monday. I just want to have an idea about whether this is something that happens at hospital.

Again, I didn't act angry. I was nice to everyone because they took very well care of me. That is until I read this in the letter and after the doctor told me their explanation was not fully correct. It's not my bladder. It's my kidney. A big difference. Now I'm very angry.
