
Problem with Vanguard? Again... what a surprise...
It’s been about a week since I started having this issue with League of Legends. I’m afraid the problem might be related to Vanguard and my Windows version. I’m currently using the Windows Canary build (OS Build 29591.1000).
It feels like ever since I updated to this build, I keep getting this message in the client. Even after restarting or uninstalling Vanguard, I still couldn’t fix it. I also tried using Command Prompt with sc delete vgc and vgk, then doing a clean reinstall, but that didn’t work either. I even ran sfc /scannow to check for corrupted system files, but no luck.
I also tried following several online guides, like manually enabling the vgc service from Services, but it still doesn’t work. The vgc service simply won’t start and always stays stopped. That’s why I think the issue is closely related to Vanguard and this Windows build.
I also tried logging into the PBE client, but I ran into the exact same issue there too.
Please tell me I’m not the only one dealing with this, so I can understand whether this is just my specific problem or if I’m not alone XD AHAHAH
And if this happened to any of you and you managed to fix it in a different way from the things I already tried, please tell me how you solved it. Otherwise, all I can do is hope that a future LoL or Windows update fixes everything XD
