How is Cyno's performance in the Snezhnaya meta so far?
Stellar
Stellar
Well, to the point he can't "cyno" to playing a round of it.
A few months ago I made a post here asking how to play other tanks and supports as a MOBA noob who found out that they sucked at carries so decided to learn Crustle instead (link here). After reading the replies on that post I finished the last two seasons with 49% then 52.5% season ranked win rates. Even my win rate on Crustle went from like 45-46% to 48%. Yes, I know that it can be a lot higher but it's a big improvement compared to the 44-45.5% that I used to get. Last season I solo queued but duoed with friends occasionally and hit 760 or so elo at the highest (don't remember exactly though).
Right now I still have a lot to improve and am still learning new mons, but I could confidently say I can play Snorlax (Heavy Slam/Block), Slowbro (Surf/Amnesia), Suicune (Whirlpool/Ice Beam), Umbreon (Mean Look/Wish) and sometimes Blissey (both movesets) and am learning Articuno (and likely 1-2 more Defenders or Supporters) this season. I learned that I really like making openings for other players and CC/debuffing opponents. And looking back at when I was a noob I was trying to do what a tank does but with carries like I would see myself calling out objectives and initiating fights...... but as an Absol or Venusaur. My overall ranked win rate is still awful, but it's better than before and that's all that matters.
Thank you for helping me then, and I look forward to torturing y'all with ungodly levels of CC in ranked in the future lol
Like did I do or say anything wrong? Did I hurt anyone? Someone please clarify what I did wrong so I can fix it, and sorry for posting something awful
Based on my own experience in solo queue lmao
Anyone get 5 in a row? All the boxes?
Suisui
Lumine Yamal
(I know this is kinda belated lmao, but in honor of Spain winning the World Cup)
Hi y'all, I'm a rising HS senior who is visiting Vanderbilt soon to do a program with PTY. Does anyone know any cool stuff to do around campus + Nashville in general? Thanks!
P.S. if there is a good boba spot near campus, please lmk about any too :) (or js restaurant/cafe recs in general)
I currently go to a very competitive high school. My freshman and sophomore grades were fine, but I was horrifically burned out and suicidal for most of junior year from undiagnosed/unmedicated ADHD burnout. Tbh this was a result of having bottled up all my academics-related stress freshman and sophomore year and never really speaking about it to anyone bc I was conditioned to believe I was "gifted" and my entire self worth depended on my grades/academic achievement and nothing else (my grades slowly started dropping once I got to HS since I realized I didn't have the same executive functioning skills as everyone else). Only recently has things been kinda better since during late March I saw a psychiatrist and got medication but progress has been very slow. My grades in the rest of my courses are fine but I have 2 Ds in Neurobiology and AP Physics 1 and a F in Calc BC. In addition, I would say my ECs are pretty decent and in fact this one niche EC I'm really good at is basically holding up my entire application atp. I will retake Calc next year (but AB) since I can't go to summer school bc I am going to a program. Is there still hope for me? Can I still apply to a 4 year college or should I do a 2-year one?
Edit: My GPA is a 3.0875 weighted only counting junior year, 3.925 overall. Before I had a 4.216 weighted overall (my school doesn't do unweighted)
(Sorry for the wall of text!)
I started this game back in January 2026 when a friend told me about it. Back then, I had zero MOBA experience and knew nothing about character classes, macro, etc., so I mainly played carries because I thought that playing a tank or support would require more detailed knowledge of the game and would be harder to climb with in solo queue since they can't really carry the game by themselves. More specifically, I was an Absol main and used it (and sometimes Venusaur, Charizard) to climb to Vet/Ultra my first season - until then, I got a lot of bot matches that were very easy, and real human matches weren't too hard either. I would occasionally fill in with Blastoise back then but wasn't very good at it due to having no idea how tanks work so kinda stopped playing it.
Later on though, when the new seasons would start, I noticed that I had a horrific 39% season ranked win rate on Absol and played Venusaur and Charizard more often (to no success). I finished the last two seasons with season ranked win rates around 45%. I do admit most of this bad win rate was skill issue on my end, but I was also just very stubborn and kept on playing even in the middle of massive lose streaks. I decided one day, though, since I had Crustle's license, that I should learn how to play it. I thought if I suck at carries maybe I should switch things up and play a tank or a support, plus I heard Crustle was pretty good for a defender in solo queue. I also started watching more experienced players play and reading meta guides beyond just builds. Somehow I ended last season with a >50% winrate on Crustle (but bad ones on other characters, including Blastoise). From playing Crustle, I found out that I liked being in the frontlines, initiating fights and CCing opponents as well as playing to "help the team" and decided to main defenders and supporters as a result.
Right now I almost one trick Rock Tomb/X-Scissor Crustle and can sometimes fill in as Eldegoss and Blissey as needed. Doing that this season has been way more successful compared to past seasons. But I don't want to be only good at Crustle bc if it's banned or picked by someone else then I would just be a liability to my team. In addition to characters mentioned above I also own Articuno, Snorlax, Slowbro, Lapras for tanks, and Wigglytuff, Meganium, Alcremie for supports. Do you have any tips for playing any of those Pokemon (+ maybe Blastoise bc I kinda want to go back to playing it), as well as recommendations for other Pokemon I might like playing? Thank you!
