SpringAi work on a Java to GPU inference backend through Tornadovm
We have a prototype for adding pure Java GPU inference for local inference through Tornadovm and jitLLM. It would be great to share your thoughts on that.

We're expanding CUDA support in TornadoVM for Java developers. What CUDA features, APIs, or libraries would you like to see exposed next? We are closely coupled with what Oxide currently supports. Thanks
I am waiting for a parcel with DHL e-commerce. It seem there has been 3 attempts to deliver in the past 3 days. I found the onlice track service the worst experience I had in years. Updates take hours to refresh, not even close to real time. The phone service apparently gives you different information. The parcel it was sent from within the UK to London.
The worst bit is that you are not able to talk to human by phone or live chat. I had to fill twice the online form and still haven't heard back from them.

An open-source project that enables plain Java applications to leverage CUDA through runtime JIT compilation. Instead of writing CUDA kernels, developers write standard Java code, which TornadoVM compiles into GPU kernels at runtime. The project is also evolving toward a hybrid programming model, allowing Java applications to interoperate with native CUDA libraries such as cuBLAS and cuDNN while remaining on the JVM. The goal is to make GPU acceleration and the broader CUDA ecosystem more accessible to Java developers without sacrificing access to NVIDIA's native capabilities.
I'd love to hear feedback from the programming community on the approach, developer experience, and if someone would use it.
Something like Oxide, but for Java: a way to access the CUDA ecosystem directly from the JVM. The idea behind TornadoVM is to JIT-compile Java code into CUDA kernels while also enabling hybrid Java/CUDA applications that can interoperate with native CUDA libraries such as cuBLAS, cuDNN, and other NVIDIA libraries. Rather than replacing CUDA, the goal is to give Java developers first-class access to the CUDA software stack, combining high-level Java productivity with the performance and flexibility of native GPU computing.
Whats your thoughts?
My tenancy only started about 2 months ago. I originally paid my deposit into what appeared to be the DPS custodial scheme. Recently, my landlord started the process through the DPS to release the deposit so it would be paid back to me. However, she has told me that because it’s the DPS insured (assured) scheme, I should receive the money and then transfer it back to her bank account.
Has anyone come across this before? Is this a normal DPS process, or should I be asking more questions before agreeing to anything?
Thanks for any advice.
I had a plastic refresher flashed down the toilet. Tried a toilet auger, didnt manage to get it. Only managed to scratch the bowl. Tolilet semi-works, but need to take out of it? what else should i try myself before getting a plumber?
Bit annoyed with myself. I just signed up for a new Virgin Media Fibre 250 deal at £23.99/month, and literally right after, I found a deal through MoneySuperMarket for £18.99/month for the same package.
Does anyone know if I can cancel the contract I just agreed to and reapply through the cheaper link? I literally just did it, so it hasn’t been installed or anything yet.
Is there a cooling-off period or anything I can use here? And if I cancel, will I still be eligible for the new customer deal?
Is there any chance to adjust the price over the phone instead of cancelling?
Any advice appreciated!
