Databricks is the largest VCX holding and has been marked down recently at other funds. This development could be negative for the fund’s NAV. Other companies in similar situations are Canva and Epic games, which I believe are also holdings of VCX.
I’ve done it so many times but I still consider it one of the trickiest fights in the game.
I put together this chart of assets under management at Fundrise. It’s clearly been tough for the company since the COVID boom. The company has attributed the recent increase in assets over the past 1-2 years to the Innovation Fund, which explains why they are pushing for another innovation fund. It will also be interesting to see how AUM changes once redemptions are allowed again for the funds that were merged in April.
Anyways, I thought this could spark an interesting discussion because it’s relevant to anyone that’s invested in the Fundrise iPO, innovation fund, and other funds.
