I get a better result with 20 grams brewed at 85C (with preheating) than at 95~100C with/without preheating.

I've seen many passionate arguments about temperature, and oftentimes people regurgitate what someone else has written in an online forum, and they keep repeating something like a gospel. Whereas, in practice, things often vary from bean to bean. Different beans often require a different recipe.

Also, if you are sensitive to caffeine, lowering the temp can really help you stay productive without the overwhelming hyper-stimulation. You can get tasty cups at lower temps too. In fact there's been a study on this. People couldn't distinguish shots brewed at 88C from shots brewed at 93~95C (I don't remember the exact range). One more benefit of the lower temp is that people avoid burns.

Hence, 100C is not some gospel temp. It doesn't always produce superior results. [at least in my experience]

Some details:

I mostly do turbo shots.

Primarily medium-roast beans.

I practice slow-feeding.

I preheat only the basket and the top screen.

Browsing experience on Bigme B7 or B7 Pro: Could someone please share an extensive video of the browsing experience (news articles, wiki, Reddit) and the use of AI chatbots on these devices? (or refer me to an existing video)

How is the browsing experience on these devices and how is the experience using AI chatbots?

Also, is the writing experience good enough?

Need suggestions. Torn between Viwoods AI Paper Reader (BW or Color) vs. Bigme B7 Pro (BW) Please share your advice.

I have a kindle scribe (2024) and it suits my need for work (reading a doc and highlighting), but its pretty bad with PDFs (keeps blinking when you scroll down or zoom in).

However, it's very limited and somewhat slow.

In addition, I would like to browse the web (Wiki, Reddit, etc.) and use AI chatbots to learn stuff.

The Viwoods AI Paper Reader can be obtained at a reasonable price (refurbished), but it seems to have some limitations, and the browsing experience on that device is likely slower than on Bigme B7 Pro.

Bigme B7 Pro seems kinda fragile and somewhat unreliable in terms of durability and software, and their customer service has been widely criticized.

By contrast, Viwoods AI Paper Reader has been prasied for its hardware and customer service but has been criticized for underdeveloped software.

Which device, in your opinion, I should rather get?

I've also considered Viwoods AI Paper Mini, which could replace my Kindle for reading and writing, but the browsing has been reported to be rather slow, relatively.

The AI Paper Reader is also compact and portable, which, in theory, could help me read more.

On the other hand, Bigme B7 Pro is also portable and could replace my kindle and could satisfy my browsing need (for reading) and the use of AI chatbots without the constant blinking of the screen.

A reminder to think critically and to double check information, even if it's coming from a person with a PHD (likely on a very narrow, specific topic)

By the way, this doctor (Dr.Idz, on the left) has caught Dr. Huberman slacking too, when Huberman commented on the results of a study, but as this doc later showed, Huberman likely superficially glanced over the title and/or the abstract of the study.
