PNG5 - Textbooks (hard copy vs. digital/e-book)

I am not a fan of e-books (it's just not the same to read from a screen), and so I am wondering if there is any legitimate reason I should be buying the e-book over the hard copy of a book for Practical Nursing. Thanks! :)

What is this seaweed/mushroom(?) in my Japchae

My partner's daughter wants to stay at mom's house full-time and has completely withdrawn from him. How can he reconnect with her?

My partner is a great dad, he's kind, thoughtful, caring, and so much more. He's having a bit of a struggle right now because his daughter (16) has decided she wants to live with her mom full time (even though they have 50/50 custody).

His ex-wife is no help at all in encouraging their daughter to spend time with her dad and tells him that it's a problem the two of them need to work out (which I think is unfair since she is the other half of the parental unit).

Anyway, he is having a hard time staying connected with his daughter. Even though he lives within walking distance, his daughter never willingly comes over on her own, she gives one word replies when he tries to reach out, she has excuses not to visit, never initiates conversation (unless she wants something), etc., etc. He has tried several times to reach out to her, include her, and have her come over for a visit.

Like I said, my partner is genuinely a good dad and he cannot think of anything he could have done to cause her to behave this way. He thinks he's partly to blame. I understand that she's a teenager and part of her behaviour is simply because of that, but it seems a little extreme for someone who before the separation had a pretty good relationship with her dad.

I'm just wondering, for dads who have been in a similar situation, what helped you stay connected and rebuild you relationship with your teenager? What got the best response when you tried to reach out? Do you have any insight or suggestions?

Extra: I've tried to tell my partner that her behaviour could just be because of her age, she's a girl (easier to connect with mom at this age), she has more freedom at her mom's (no restrictions on phone use (ie. TikTok), she might just not like going back and forth, she might like the novelty of a new house, etc. While he can understand these possibilities, he just wants to truly know why she has withdrawn so much from him.

It looks like they just put everything on my schedule.. 3 hrs math? 5 hrs anatomy? PNG5

Is this right? I know some people said the schedule will likely change.. it just seems like a lot of time to be mathing and anatomying. I can't remember how long my classes typically were the last time I was in college.

I found this in Kincardine, Ontario. What is this design? Is it a fossil?

Found in Kincardine, Ontario. I can't say much about the hardness. When I run my fingers over the design, you can feel the ridges. Is this a rock with a neat design or a fossil or what? Thanks for any help!
