Took the Z out for some laps around mid ohio this weekend. This car is always a joy to drive, on and off the track. Its a J's racing long tube header and an HKS full catback for those wondering.
Does anyone recognize this part? It was loose in my fuel tank after removing the pump assy. Its not called out in the diagram anywhere.
The PO put a non oem return hose in the tank thats straight unlike the oem J hose. i assume this was their attempt at curving the hose by inserting into the hose and attaching the return filter/packing.
Im just confirming this is not an oem part for the cb919.
I installed pods and a jet kit while i was cleaning and rebuilding these carbs. The bike did this before the rebuild, just not as much. When i put my hards on the boots i feel them get harshly sucked in along with the sneeze sound. Happens at idle and low throttle, cruising and pulls ok. I notice on camera a little puff comes out of the pods which cant be good.
Valve clearences just adjusted, new ngk plugs.
2.5 turns out on the screws and 2nd clip from top on the needles, stock 37.5 pilots, dj155 mains.
Folded my mirror and hitched a ride in the tow of a semi truck for about an hour. *Play this game at your own risk*. Was worth it though with these gas prices.
