How is everyone storing or displaying their jewelry?

I currently have only 4 fine jewelry pieces, and they’re just sitting on my desk lol. The price of gold spiked just when i was starting adulthood and got a big girl job. I mourn this unfortunate timing.

Venting aside, I absolutely love seeing the collections and stacks everyone posts here. I have zero experience with fine gold jewelry so since I’m just starting my journey, I’d love to know how you guys store your pieces! Please share your setups—I’m looking for some inspiration to manifest my own future collection.

Changing second earlobe piercing placement

Second ear lobe piercing placement

I got my second earlobe piercing in January and I approved the placement then. But a month ago, I was looking at inspo to build my daily wear stack, I am realizing that I would've liked the second piercing to be a bit further apart from the first. It's a minor change, but it's been on my mind for a month. I don't intend on getting a third earlob piercing so I should've been more decisive. Can I take my piercing out and let it close even though it's been 4 months?

First pic is my ears. Second and third are inspo pics (i know im basic haha)

My mom received this ring from her sister, but it’s way too small for her. It fits my middle finger which is around size US 4.5-5. My mom would need it resized to 7. Since I’ve never been to a jeweler before, I wanted to get some confirmation online that it’s even possible before I ask local jewelers around me. Also, would it possible to upgrade the middle diamond to a bigger one with this design? Thank you!

I made a custom purchase from Starsgem for a 1ct lab diamond princess cut necklace for my mom. This will be my first ever diamond jewelry purchase so I am seeking advice. Initially, I was shown an IGI certificate of the diamond they would use before my payment. It took me 2 days to commit to payment and during that time, I guess the diamond was gone. So then I was shown another IGI certificate for a princess cut diamond. Both had the same clarity and color, but I notice the number of lines in the diagram was different. After some research, I learned the difference is the number of chevrons. The first diamond that's gone had 3 chevrons, while the new one that they will use has 4 chevrons. I don't know my mom's preference and she wouldn't know much either, so what would be better for a daily-wear necklace? I also requested V tip prongs instead of those balls/claws. Was this the right choice?
