The family of a friend - who passed from cancer some years ago - wants to throw his dog out into the streets because he's too big for them to handle. He's a purebred boxer and won't be able to survive on his own. Does anyone have a number of an animal welfare organization or someone who might be able to help? I don't live or know anything about Guwahati myself.
I was waking up from being very hung over when this severely injured cat walked into my house. Like literally just walked in (door is ajar for my own cats BooBoo and Kimiko-san). He didn't run away when he saw me either, just calmly sat on the floor. He's not one of the regular strays or community cats I see frequently (though he could be the child of one).
I don't want to handle him in case he has unseen injuries, so he's just sitting on my couch while I wait for the rescue ambulance to come pick him up. I hope he'll be okay.
