I love dinghys.

I love the inflatable looking dinghys with the rounded sides. They look even cooler with the guns on the front, and if they serve some sort of utility purpose like search and rescue.

Why are my iron golems from my 1.20.1 iron farm spawning outside the pit?

I followed an online tutorial to build this iron farm in 1.20.1 forge. It works sometimes but a lot of the times the golems spawn on the grass and just walk away. I put paths down because I heard it can prevent spawning, and then tried putting a ton of torches to prevent it but neither worked

Standard procedure for killing and cooking fish?

Ever since I started fishing pretty recently I have really wanted to catch and cook a fish that I catch. It would probably be either a sunfish or a trout. I have my license and a trout stamp, so I should be good as long as the fish is according to size.

What I really want to know is, how do I actually humanely kill a fish? I fish at a small public pond, with a little path around it where people walk their dogs or jog. Would it be frowned upon to take a fish from that kind of pond and eat it? There are larger stocked lakes near me if that would be an issue, and I could always try to catch a fish from there.

I would feel kind of weird killing a fish at the park and putting it in a cooler or whatever it is that you do to bring it home. Would it be better to put it in a cooler with water and kill it at home?

Is KastKing a good brand?

I have heard that KastKing is a "tiktok brand" and that nobody actually uses it, and that they are overpriced and have low quality rods and reels.

Is their gear actually low quality?

What is your guys's least favorite weapon in the game? For me it's the hand scythe. I can never hit at the right angle.

▲ 5 r/bassfishing+1 crossposts

I made a post about this place a while ago and decided to fish it today. I ended up going from 12:00-15:00 and only caught 1 tiny bass. I eventually gave up on bass and just tried targeting anything that would bite.

The red circles are where I fished from, and the yellow lines in the 2nd photo were the directions of my casts.

I started off at the bench next to the drainage pipe, throwing out a short square bill crankbait with a slow steady retrieve.

I didn't catch anything after ~15 minutes, so I switched to a wacky rigged green senko.

I didn't catch anything after ~20 minutes, so I switched to a spinnerbait with a steady retrieve.

I didn't catch anything, so I moved to the drainage pipe and started dropping wacky rigs right in front of it, where I got my first bite.

I kept dropping there but couldnt get anymore, so I moved to the other side behind the fountain in photo 1.

One of the main issues I had was I couldn't tell if I was getting bites, snags, or just the bait itself. I'm not used to using heavy baits like spinnerbaits and crankbaits, so I sometimes reeled in too fast. I got snagged a lot, and got my lures covered in weeds a few times.

I got my only fish on a white jighead with a chartreuse curly tail grub. It was tiny, probably less than a pound. After that I kept trying with the grub and didnt get anything.

I moved to the far right spots, and threw the grub and a texas rig, but didnt get anything for the rest of the day.

As for my rods, I only have these 2. I know they are cheap and bad, but they are all I have.

Rod #1

  • Spinnerbait
  • Crankbait
  • Texas Rig

Rod #2

  • Wacky Rigs
  • Jighead w/ Curly Tailed Grub

Most of my lures

I have been practicing texas rigs for a while, and while this is my best, it still is not perfectly straight. Am I overreacting? Is this good enough?

Im using the hooks in the photo

This is a pond near my house in North Jersey. Photo 1 is basically what it looks like now, and photo 2 is the river that connects to it. Photo 3 is how it looked many years ago, it was covered in algae for a while but they did something and now it's clear.

Fishbrain says it has largemouth bass, sunfish, chubs, and carp. There are also probably a few turtles I would like to avoid.
