I spent my entire summer furnishing, painting, and decorating our basement apartment (mostly while we were living there!!)

I built the dining banquette, painted all of the fun squiggles and details, and thrifted lots of fun pieces for this project. Definitely a massive labor of love.

Edited to add: Photos are by Abby Peoples Photography

Edited again: thank you for all the love!! I’m trying to post as many links and answers to questions as I can. Feel free to DM me if I miss yours. Also I’m unsure if I’m allowed to post my house instagram account but I am active there and on TikTok with home reno videos. Now that the basement is done I am working on the upstairs again!

This batch is all from a recent trip to Mexico City- the city did a lot of the heavy lifting with these photos :-)

My husband gifted me a Kodak Ektar H35 half frame point and shoot for Christmas. These are from the second round of film I’ve had developed. Most of the frames required some cropping to straighten or frame the subjects but else wise untouched.

30 has officially come! my 2009 throwback sleepover was a blast - would totally suggest for anyone thinking of the theme (and if you are and are interested in buying decor from me send me a DM! I have tons of posters and other fun goodies I’d love to sell)

Some fun details from the night:
-A club Libby Lu dress up experience to start the night
-I cut open capri suns and added alcohol to them for the cocktail for the night
-custom koozies with me as a Lizzie McGuire cartoon!! (Art by CoolArtByJoy on Etsy)
-a throwback playlist
-dvds (we ended up watching Bring it On: All or Nothing and Cheetah Girls 2)
-junk food circa middle school dreams- the fruit by the foot and the gushers were big hit

me again!! it’s the week of my 30th birthday (woo!) and I’ve been prepping for my nostalgia packed birthday - wanted to share a few fun photos of the space so far!!!
