Power Outrage

We had a tornado on Tuesday. Power has been out and will be until friday next week. Luckily my husband and I have a generator. Our area looks like a war zone and you have to drive about 30 minutes away for gas. The national guard has been deployed and its a madhouse.

I was making progress going out alone prior to this but also gave myself grace if I just couldnt. My Husband has MS and during flareups, he's homebound.

The number of rude/angry people out there is kinda scary

My dogs needed food. Our walmart just opened back up this morning. Local people were offering drop off service for $50. Way to capitalize on a crisis. I asked a few friends. They could not or just wouldn't.

I did it. I DID IT.

I'm so proud of myself.

Is it cheating?

This worked for me last week and I was thrilled!

Example: laying out all my tee shirts to see the sheer quanity. Pick my favorites, then have my husband collect the rest and donate? Not new to purging and find it difficult quite frankly. But this has helped. I feel I have learned my lesson with 1 in, 1 out so inflow has pretty much stopped. I don't buy new clothes often, maybe 2-3 outfits a year

But If I go through my purged clothing, I start "rescuing" things because of the memories... a friend said I wasn't owning up to my over consumption this way. And I wouldnt learn because I was depending on him to help. Now its got me thinking, does it truly matter as long as I purge or do I NEED to face the fantasy self clothing and excess?
