We did it! We made the Seattle Times!
tl;dr It was the machine, not me.
My local shop did the following:
Plus random oiling and stuff. Machine's worked flawlessly since I picked it up. I'm almost done an entire shirt, no weird tension issues.
I bought a used Bernette b77 last week that sewed fine when I tested it.
Now that I have it at home, I'm having continual issues with it randomly deciding to forget about tension, and then completely jam up when trying to tie off and use the cutter.
It'll be fine for several rows of stitches, then on the same fabric, same needle, same bobbin (purchased from a local Bernina shop), it'll just completely fall apart. Pics of what I mean, from when I was just now trying to baste some stuff together: https://imgur.com/a/zMutt3G
It's happened enough times on different fabric with different thread that I don't think it's a thread/fabric/my incompetence issue. Anyone know what might be the cause?
Edit: Added photos of the threading https://imgur.com/a/aqr6Uu2
If you log into your Vanguard account this morning you should see a banner across the top page:
> Prevent your assets from being moved to an outside brokerage institution without your consent—a common type of fraud. This type of lock doesn’t apply to bank transfers you initiate, so you still have access to your money.
There's a button to click that takes you directly to your account security settings to enable it. You can also access from Profile > Security Profile.
More from their "learn more about account locks" page:
> What is an outgoing transfer lock?
> An outgoing transfer lock prevents ACAT, or Automated Customer Account Transfer. This is a standard system brokerages use to transfer assets between institutions. Another brokerage institution should only initiate ACAT after you’ve opened an account with them and asked them to transfer your assets from Vanguard.
> Locking your accounts for outgoing transfers protects your assets from being moved to an outside brokerage institution without your consent—a common type of fraud. It doesn’t apply to bank transfers you initiate, so you still have access to your money.
> Why would I lock my accounts?
> An account lock helps protect your money by preventing unauthorized transactions. You can lock your account proactively or if suspicious activity is detected. We recommend always keeping your accounts locked for outgoing transfers.
> You can choose to lock individual accounts or all of your accounts at the same time.
Yay! If you have a Vanguard account, go do this now.
Has anyone ever managed to get this to work? I have a ZBT-2 connected to Home Assistant, but I can never get my Ultraloq Bolt SE to add as a device.
I click add device in Home Assistant, scan the QR code, then say I'm Ready. It just sits at "Searching for device..." before failing saying it can't find the device.
I've tried putting a pin in the reset hole for 1-3 seconds. I've tried pressing a key to "wake up Bluetooth". Still no luck.
My father in law has a BC-10 acoustic guitar. We took it in to a local guitar shop and other than "😳" and two old reverb listings they couldn't find anything about it.
Anyone know anything about this guitar? Our best guess is some other company made it for BC Rich and they stuck the brand name on it.
