Any idea why my Fostex X-55 4 track does this when reversing the tape? How worrisome is this?
Picked up this 4 track last weekend at a crazy price and everything surprisingly works on it - some of the sliders are a little dusty, but the only major issue I see is this happens when I reverse the tape. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Was surprised to find that this made it to the shelf at my local goodwill, even more surprised they didn’t price it up. The selector switch needs repaired, but I should be able to handle that myself. Fun little instrument all in all.
