Choice of high school?

This is a question just for the ADHD 2e folks - no AuDHD or ASD people answering, please.

If you could go back in time and pick the kind of high school you wished you could have attended, would you prefer to send a younger you to a more prestigious, well-funded, academically-rigorous school OR a more gentle, supportive, relaxed school with a student body from a wider-range of academic abilities?

My eldest is mildly gifted, definitely ADHD, no ASD. Doesn't seem to have dyslexia or dyscalculia. An okay student: frankly, not yet that interested in academics (only 12 years old) but bright and generally well-liked by teachers. Bc he did very well on his standardised tests, he has been accepted to some schools that might be well suited to his IQ. However, I do wonder if he would fare better in a ""less impressive"" school that seems better-geared to support kids who need extra scaffolding along the way.

Please don't be snarky in your answers. I am just a parent trying to get my head around how to think about this decision. I appreciate your help.

Rumours about Harry in love with another woman

On The Nerve, Maureen Callahan's podcast, Lady Colin Campbell states that Harry is in love with some other (unnamed) woman and that Meghan found out about it bc she found texts on Harry's phone.

To be honest, I have a hard time believing this. He seems so whipped by Meghan, and was so disgusted by his dad cheating on his mum, I cannot see Harry stepping out on his wife.

What are your thoughts on this?

Emotional ties to "stuff?"

Embarrassing but true: I feel weird emotional dysregulation when I try to get rid of stuff i own. Tonight, for instance, I've been trying to clear out a bunch of old lipsticks that I haven't worn for more than a decade. Yes, let me repeat that: lipstick that has sat, unworn and unloved for more than 10 years! But I feel shame for throwing out lipstick that has so much left in it. I feel sad that I bought stuff I rarely used. I feel like I should be able to find a use for it (yes, bc old lipstick has so many uses!! lol). Clothes that no longer look great or suit my lifestyle, I worry I might regret giving away as soon as I donate them.

I am not a hoarder but my house would definitely be tidier and my life would definitely be easier if I could get rid of at least 50% of my belongings. But every time I try to get started, I find myself stymied.

Do you, too, have illogical and unhelpful emotions about the stuff you own?
