Are you guys open to a Botswana Reddit movie get together day?

I have been seeing a lot of posts of people looking for friendships and relationships and I was wondering are y'all open to a get together where we meet up to go and watch a movie? Who knows you might end up making friends there.

It's just a random thought I had. Let me know what you think in the comments.

I just stumbled upon the Chinese version of Culinary Class Wars

Has anyone seen this show yet? From the starting clip it seems they are adopting the culinary class wars style. I can't find the shows English name but it seems it has English subtitles. Anyone who has seen it what is it like?

What should I look out for when buying a second hand laptop

I am looking to buy a laptop and I am leaning towards getting a refurbished one but I am very skeptical about them. I want to use it for office work so battery life is very important. What specs and hardware issues should I look out for especially concerning battery life?

Also what does it mean when it says the RAM is 8GB but 5.5GB is usable? Isn't it supposed to be 8GB if you delete everything

Do you think if Unity Dow wins the BCP VP seat it will change anything?

I have been noticing a lot of conversations surrounding the upcoming election between Unity Dow and Taolo Lucas for the position of VP of BCP.

Personally I don't mind either one of them but as for the party as a whole I think Unity Dow is the best option. She has a proven track record and honestly a lot of people love her. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't respect her. BCP needs a shake up if they want to go up against UDC and I think she can bring that. What do you guys think? Am I being delusional?

Accomodation near UB and surrounding areas

I have a UB student who is looking for accommodation around the area or even if it's one combi route to school. Does anyone know any open rentals. Bachelor pads or even one bedrooms are okay.

Thoughts

For a woman to say such remarks shocks me to say the least. It's absolutely ridiculous for her to even suggest this. I remember the time they decided to increase it from 16 to 18 (I was around 15 at that time) and those men on the street used to say things like " re botsa dingwaga kana ga re batle go tsena mo mathateng". This just shows they don't do it because they think morally it's not right, they are just afraid of going to jail. And also in her logic how does this protect the young girls??

I am tired of the Lupita hate on this sub

We get it, you don't like the fact that she was chosen for The Odyssey role. But do people always need to talk about how she was miscast?? And everytime I see someone suggest a different actress to play the role it's always a white woman. Some of the people chosen you can tell it's simply for the sex appeal because they don't even have a fraction of Lupita's talent. Maybe in your eyes black women can't be sensual or appealing or they are not attractive to some of you but news flash Lupita is a very beautiful and sensual woman. Who made themselves judge, jury and executioner to decide what is the ideal woman in the movie industry?? Honestly some of you need to grow up.

I had Vigilante on my watchlist but I made the mistake of watching The Killing Vote right before it. Unfortunately I was so underwhelmed by Vigilante I ended up dropping it after 2 episodes. I don't think the problem was the story or execution itself, my issue was that I kept comparing it to The Killing Vote which in my opinion had better writing.

I enjoyed season 2 a lot however there are some complaints and writing choices which I didn't particularly enjoy.

Woo-Jin: I think it has been said time and time again that this season it felt like Woo Jin was a side character. Initially I thought they were building up the story but by episode 4 it was evident that they had just watered down his character. I have heard people say it's because he is a coach now and not a fighter but I would like to differ with that opinion. Mr Moon is not a fighter and yet he stole the show. There are so many memorable moments with him and although I am not sure he probably has more lines and a meatier story than Woo Jin.

The cameos: I hope this season is the first and last time the producers ever do this cameo thing. It is useless. I get it people like seeing their faves on screen but none of the cameos add any substance to the story at all. The exception to this is Park Seo Jun, his character does play a somewhat although not flashed out role in the storyline.

Min Beom - His storyline has a major plot hole. Now I don't remember his family dynamics or whether his parents are alive but if I was a Chaebol mum and some guy drugged my baby I will go scorched earth on them. The fact that none of his family has shown up to deal with however is messing with one of their own is something that bothers me. Both in season 1 & 2, how can someone pull those things with a CHAEBOL and there is no army of lawyers, politician, hired hitman, crazy family members coming out of the wood works?? For season 3 they need to sit down and think carefully about this character.

In Beom - His character is such wasted potential it makes my heart hurt. They broke him out of prison to just make him sit and wait. Nothing impactful happened with his character. You can remove him from the show and still the storyline will remain the same. We could've gotten his background, we could've seen him rebel and ruin the villains plans for his own selfish reasons but none of that happened. All they ended up doing was making him hired muscle.

Man Bae - I really like the actor Lee Si Eon and have always enjoyed seeing his work but I feel he was miss cast for the role. He was supposed to be mysterious, dangerous and unpredictable for the role but I wasn't convinced. Trust me I tried to be understanding as a fan of Si Eon but even I have to admit this is not the role for him at all. And it hurts to say this because he is so good in other projects.

Blue haired guy - What happened to him? Like seriously when everyone was getting beaten and losing and dying what happened to his character. My complaint with his character is the same as the previous characters, he was wasted potential. It is so annoying because the actor really nailed this role but the writing wasn't it at all.

Archery girl from season 1 - am I the only one who wishes they had brought her back instead of the police lady? Matter of fact they could've had both of them on the show. We needed some strong female presence.

Another plot hole that bugs me is when Gun Woo fought Rain for the first time they figured out where they were by a logo in the background. Man Bae is in the NIS!!! He is a master of hiding!!!! The Blue haired guy is a pro in the dark web!!! You want to tell me none of them thought "Hey, maybe we should cover up that logo because someone might use it to track our location"

In conclusion:

No, I am not going to hate on the mother, her actions and the way she blindly trusts people makes sense because that is how Gun Woo is as well. They are both pure and kind hearted.
