I feel that if you make hating men your whole personality and calling it feminism, then you are not feminist. No, I don't mean it in that male-centered way. As someone who is a teen advocate feminist, I think that feminism isn't just "ew he did __________" and nitpicking at the nearest guy. I see this a lot in my friend group and it genuinely irks me. Feminism should be doing the same things men can do, having the same rights as men, and being equal in general.

I don't understand why a lot of my peers think bullying guys for being male and doing something is amusing, bullying is still bullying and it doesn't make you seem like 'one of the girls' in any way. Of course I will defend girls, but I can't stand it when I see other girls disregard actually being mindful and thinking it's okay to be a little ruder to guys just because it's apparently okay. I don't know who made them think it's acceptable. it's the same way you wouldn't abandon a date with a girl, you shouldn't do it with a guy either.

I don't know, maybe it's some way for some reason that girls think that displaying "feminism" in ways like this is socially rewarded?? when I feel that in reality it's not at all, it takes away the real seriousness of the inequality between men and women... and there really is a lot of double standards from what i observed. and if you tried to defend a guy whom you think is in the right, you have a chance of being called a "pick-me"..

I'll admit, i used to think that male gynecologists are weird and gross. but over time, i realized that this equality of being able to have whatever job you want applies to everyone, regardless of gender. if there are women who are urologists, then there will also be men who are gynecologists. Both genders should be equal in the way that they can choose any career path.

but anyways yeah this is how i feel about how hating men shouldn't be considered feminism. idk maybe this might reflect a deeper issue where my friends are constantly struggling to fit in just in general, i wished people didn't think they were walking on eggshells that much. aight also idk if this goes in the politics section or just rants, so i hope i put the right flair
