Are these stones too big for my finger??

the yellow gold is a 3.5ct elongated radiant and the white gold is a 5ct radiant. I want a bigger stone so the minimum size I’d go for is probably a 3ct! These aren’t the designs of rings I like, I just tried on a bunch of different stones to see which cut I like most and I fell in love with radiants! out of the two, I like the band style of the yellow gold a lot more because it’s still simple but not too dainty

Disclaimer: don’t know how I managed to make my thumb disappear but it is there lol

The Wave, Arizona USA

From 8.28.26. I like the digital camera look so l used my Canon ELPH360 with the settings adjusted to make reds vibrant. We started our hike about an hour before sunrise so we got to the wave about 45 minutes after sunrise, making it still fully shaded and it couldn't have been a better time to be there. Such an incredible experience!!

advice for hiking The Wave and going to horseshoe bend!

I know the wave is technically a bit outside of the grand canyon but I felt like this sub was the closest to it that I could ask! I am hiking the Wave on friday and wanted to see if anyone had advice on what to bring, what time to start, if the safety briefing is necessary, etc! I’ve done my fair share of hiking(grew up in WA state, have done angels landing, etc but I like to be prepared). I know it’s likely going to be hot so i’m willing to start at/before sunrise if it’s recommended.

With that, i’m making a weekend out of it and wanted to visit horseshoe bend but don’t know if it’s better to go at sunrise or sunset! I have done Yavapai point for sunrise a few months ago so I was thinking to try to do sunset instead this time if it’s worth it??

My very first loaf, how does it look?

I did an 8 hour sourdough recipe for my first attempt!! I only had a cold ferment in the fridge for two hours. I know that keeping it in longer will give it more of that sour taste(which I will do next time), but my boyfriend was very excited to have bread so I did a fast recipe lol. Does the inside look a bit too thick?

Recipe:

125g of starter

363g of water

500g of king Arthur’s unbleached bread flour

11g of salt

the recipe that I followed can be found here! since her recipe is for 2 loaves, I cut the measurement in half and ended up letting it ferment on the counter for about three hours instead of two (Love Island distracted me) :

Why does my camera adjust its focus and make my photos lower quality before I take a picture

when I open my camera, it will automatically go from a clear picture and switch to a different type of focus that is lower quality and grainy. it does it usually around a second after I open the app. The focus takes pictures like ones of my cats, you can see that they are very grainy and aren’t super in focus. It does it in low light and regular.
