Is this fixable and if so how?

hi!

i bought this instax mini 8 off of Vinted from someone who said it was working perfectly fine etc. they had hundreds and hundreds of 5 star reviews so idk if they would’ve lied.

basically, it doesn’t seem to turn on and I think the battery compartment is the problem it’s quite rusted. the batteries definitely work as they work on another same camera. the red light on the back or front don’t turn on and I haven’t put in film bc I feel like it’s a waste if it wont even turn on.

what do you think: fixable? if so, how. I tried using a toothbrush and a bit of white vinegar to clean it and it’s better but I didn’t get into the nooks and crannies I think.

Help with TV display settings on LG TV

hello there!

I recently bought a Nintendo switch 2 upgrading from a switch 1. one of the main games where I have seen a MASSIVE improvement is Overwatch, one of my favourite games.

however, the improvement jump seems to be limited to handheld in terms of graphics. when I dock it to my LG TV which has hdr and 4k I think, it gets slightly blurry and much less sharp than handheld.

any specific settings or things I should change to improve it? thanks!!

Moving from Switch to Switch 2

hi guys!

context: I have a switch 1, switch 2, and a Nintendo account I use on both which has online.

I recently bought a switch two and did the transfer process and everything. my island has moved over. I want to use my og switch to start a new island, and I want to do so with my account which has Nintendo online. but, I have the same account as the resident rep on my long term island.

if i start a new island on my oh switch, will it ruin or interfere with my other switch 2/ island as I want to use online on both? thanks!!

Double islands

if I have two seperste switches (1 and 2) and both have separate islands on them, is there any way to kinda “swap“ them? so my permanent island from the switch 1, I want on the switch 2 but I want my new switch two island which I already would have to go onto my switch 1 without deleting them?

Can you use Il and Ca interchangeably?

Hi,

so I know il is typically used for him but in some contexts I see people saying it for it as well like in this one instance:

même s’il était amusant like in meme si, you say il for it don’t you?

or do you have to say c’était instead of il était. so are they both interchangeable or just some situations?

similarly in this context which one is correct or are both correct:

je vais au cinéma je le trouve amusant.

je vais au cinéma. je trouve ça amusant.

and this example:

je suis alle au cinéma et c’était amusant

je suis allé au cinéma et il était amusant.

To clear the air and hopefully end the debate going on in that post on Eid (please read)

Mods: this post is relevant to GCSEs as I tak about it being a source of support/comfort.

As of right now, I posted the Eid post 12 hours ago where I tried to remind other Muslims like me to also take a break for Eid. I still think we should be able to do so, but obviously some people feel bored and want to revise to de stress: I think they should, but others shouldnt feel bad for not doing so and should not spend the whole day revising and not focusing on celebrating with family.

Anyways, someone commented a list of Islamic duas (supplications/personal prayers of asking God) about knowledge or just general prayers to help people cope with GCSE season. It was first removed but then un removed (questionable move) but I digress. Some people felt thankful for it, but others felt that the comment was absolutely useless, abhorrent, out of place and some classed it as cheating (this is a specific type of delulu and anti religious rhetoric). My answer to this is: if you really felt it was so offensive or unnecessary to you personally, did you REALLY need to spend ages writing comments and debating it and arguing? Like that level of offence was genuinely uncalled for and irrelevant. I believe that we are all entitled to our own beliefs, so long as they don’t go around spreading hate or disrespecting others (ahem quite a few of you did this). I mean this genuinely, but if there was a post about Jewish prayers or Christian prayers or other religious prayers, I wouldn’t really care or feel “oh no this doesn’t align with my beliefs so I’m gonna spend ages to comment and disrespect the religion”.

It was disrespectful to just suddenly start berating the religion of Islam and try to disprove it. It was disrespectful to the person who commented and argued with other Muslims. Religion or prayer are very good for comforting and supporting believers, especially in times of hardship which is one of the reasons that person probably commented the prayers.

Also, something most didn’t realise was that today (the day before Eid ul Adha) was the most important day in the Islamic calendar, Arafat, a day where Muslims engage in deep worship or supplication etc which is probably why that person wanted to comment it. Regardless of their reasons, I think it was unnecessary to argue for so long about it when that person was just sharing something they may have found comforting in their time of hardship (GCSEs are painful for us all, I think we can agree).

The truth which is why I believe that some commenters were Islamaphobic was that if that had been Christian prayers, or other religious prayers, no one would’ve cared enough to argue for so long. Do not come at me with the whole “Christianity is the main religion”.

Final message: EVERYONE DESERVES RESPECT AND IF NOT TOLERANCE SOMEONE POSTING A FEW PRAYERS TJEY FOUND SUPER HELPFUL TO HELP THEM IN THEIR EXAMS TO HELP OTHER MUSLIMS/PEOPLE SHOULD NOT OFFEND YOU. WAKE UP AND STOP HATINT PEOPLE. FINALLY, THE THING OF “I HATE ALL (ABRAHAMIC) RELGIONS EQUALLY” IS ALSO ODD BECAUSE WHY WHOULD YOU SPEND YOUR LIFE HATING PEOPLE. NOONES FORCING YOU TO CONVERT HERE NOONES FORCING YOU TO BELIEVE IN ISLAM NOONE IS REPLACING YOU AS THE FAR RIGHT LIKE TO IMPLY. YOU CAN DISAGREE WITH THE RELIGION YOU JUST DONT HAVE TO BE AWFUL ABOUT IT AND EXPECT EVERYONE TO FOLLOW YOU. YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL THREATENED BY A PRAYER PLS. Anyways Eid Mubarak to all my fellow Muslims, may you get lots of Eidi (hehe) and REST and EVERYONE GET GREAT GRADES AMEEN.

For all my fellow muslims

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LOCK OUT FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW!
Taking a one - two day break for Eid is NOT gonna make you fail your GCSEs. Please just take a break omg. You can lock in from Thursday onwards. Don’t ruin your Eid pls. Have fun, Eid Mubarak.

EDIT: I understand that some people aren’t really doing much during the day in terms of events/going out etc and that’s ok, neither am I. But my point still stands and was mainly aimed at people who were sacrificing their whole day for revision. I still feel that you can take even a few hours to not revise like guys it’s one day. If you want to revise go ahead just don’t let it overshadow your whole day. Also, why, moderators, did you remove the comment regarding prayer???? Gathering hints of islamophobia…

EDIT 2: since no one seems to have a basic understanding of the fact that people of a religion exist and should be able to exist let me pose a few questions:

if you don’t believe in the religion/god/the prayers working then why do you care so much?

if you think it’s humans’ responsibility to fix things in the world (as I agree) then why don’t you leave Reddit and go try to fix things?

i Don’t believe that prayers are automatically gonna get you good grades that’s not what most people believe. its a prayer asking to consolidate the knowledge you already have. I thought this would be quite self explanatory but ok.
the genuine truth that none of you are willing to admit is that if this was a post about Easter or something related to Christianity, you wouldn’t care and feel the need to comment and criticize. this was just meant to be a simple post for Muslim students to understand that taking a break is important and that they can celebrate their holidays but some of you are just offended for no reason🥀

can we all pls learn to be a bit more respectful of other religions and beliefs the same way I would if a Christian/Jew/other religion posted something about praying to god. Like I truly would not care or be sooo upset and offended so why can’t you all be the same. No one is trying to promote a religion here, no one is trying to spread their belief etc as people have suggested. seriously get a life if this offended you so much

Looking for South Asian design codes

As the title says. Hi guys, in preparation for Eid, I’m looking for some nice custom design codes for shalwar kameez or traditional Pakistani style clothes for boys. If anyone has any design codes, I’d be most grateful! I have the Kurtas but I was wondering if there were any others you guys had in mind. Thanks :)

Help with this question please!

It was along the lines of:

the rate of photosynthesis between 0-40degrees celsius doubles as the temperature increases by 10 degrees celsius (in the experiment listed in the exam). If at 5 degrees celsius, the rate is 2 arbitrary units, what will the rate be at 40 degrees celsius.
