SMX DIY 😅

So, I lost the nub on the right thumb stick recently (clearly the work of my four year old). Obviously I could have reordered a new one but I'm so tired of buying bits and pieces continuously. I thought I'd work out a solution myself.

I bought a shirt a few years ago with the security tag still attached. I cut it off with wire clippers and just left it sitting in a drawer. Amazingly it fit perfectly into the hole and was the perfect size for my thumb. It was however slightly cone shaped, so with a bit of super glueing and fabric I've managed to make my very own thumb stick that feels incredibly comfortable and works a treat! For someone useless at this sort of thing, I feel like it's quite a decent accomplishment! 😂

Help Needed

At the risk of being crucified here (I'm thick skinned, I can take it xD ) How do I make this wall jump? I just can't get high enough to latch on.

Huge thanks to anyone that can offer advice. <3

Steam Deck optimisation

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked a million times but does anyone have a link to a website for Steam Deck optimisation? I can't seem to get it right myself.

Cheers.

I went there, I let my four year old paint with me. 😬

She was amazing to be fair. She has such good hand to eye coordination. ❤️

This game is truly wonderful, thanks Blizz

Hi all,

Being in my 40s now and having young kids, time is fairly limited to about an hour and a half each evening. I played D2 and D3 to death when I was younger but stood back on the release of this as I've had my fingers burnt in the past with new Blizzard releases. I love a good arpg, playing loads of Grim Dawn. Torchlight etc (I'm one of the few who could never really get into PoE), anyway I followed the early criticism and honestly none of it surprised me but eventually I had to dive in. I've been playing around 3 months now and the content and updates just get better and better; I genuinely think it's a brilliant game. I'm a solo player, so the lack of social interaction doesn't bother me so much and with the limited time I have there's just always so much to do it feels almost overwhelming (in a good way).

So yeah, nothing major here other than I just can't wait to hop on each evening —admire the craft, the art style and have a blast with what seemingly already boasts a huge amount of depth and playstyle with each class. The future seems really bright, for me at least —cheers Blizz.

So, here's to Diablo IV and many years of slaying loads of gruesome shit.

Yannick Bolasie

Was just watching a video of the 5-5 game against Forest and noticed he was playing for us. Even though I was as involved in every game in the Championship as I have been for the last 32 years but I have absolutely no recollection of him playing for us. 😂 Like, genuinely. I'm actually a bit worried about my memory now.

We need to talk about Matty Cash

Two players stick out like a sore thumb for me in their growth and development and I couldn't be more proud of either. Cashy and Ezri. Both decent talents both nothing out of the ordinary and how they have been nurtured under Emery has been nothing short of incredible.

A lot of us focused on Matty's negatives over his positives during our 'building to next level' process and thought that he was one of the few vulnerable positions in our team and of course they still exist but it feels so amazing as a fan to have built this organic core that has stuck together and achieved what it is has. Honestly, Matty is the least of my concerns now. He has become a key player for us in the Emery high-line system and honestly, it's not easy replacing someone like this.

So, it's just a shout-out really to how far you can come as a player and a person under proper management and I'm so happy that not only is he an established international but a genuinely top player and great guy.

Is Youri Tielemans one of the best midfielders we've ever had?

When he came there was a bit of cynicism from Leicester fans about his commitment. It took him a quarter of the season to adapt to playing deeper but my god, he has just been absolutely unreal and never looked back. Whether he plays deep or in the hole his workrate, technical ability, drive and personality has just blown me away (and with Kamara and McGinn too, it is a real golden age for midfielders). He is also, without a doubt a big game player.

I just think Youri is the absolute lynchpin. When he was out injured we seemed naked and vulnerable. The second he came back we were in free flow again.

We've had some great players over the years but I actually think he would make an all-time Villa eleven now.

Coefficency and CL Format

I can't seem to get an answer for this on the Googles. But since the new European 'one league' format, what benefit does a club's coefficency give?

For example: ours is quite high now and it's possible we could be a second seeded team but what benefit do we get from that now that the clubs from each pot are evenly distributed against each other?

(hope that makes sense)

Cheers.

I think this is arguably one of Lennard's best moments and Sullivan's most poignant writing. It's powerful but also a reminder of those still alive after WWI and carried with them the memories into the modern world.

I wrote a poem about Passchendaele and my own personal struggles with addiction, if anyone cares. I'd like to think someone might be able to resonate with it.

Thanks,

Battle of Passchendaele

The bugle roused us from the mud, as it always did- a single bright note lifting us from the sinking earth.

They say Passchendaele

was hell made real:

the choking air,

the rats that claimed the fallen, death arriving like weather.

Then came the gas-

panic first,

fear next,

and the reaper's whisper

before the burning even touched our lungs.

Addiction is hell.

War is hell.

And memory is all we have left.

How do Christians feel about the blatant and obvious abuse of the religion and the Bible by a man in such a desperate panic to save his own skin, that he will go to lengths of publicising his "conversion" on media outlets as much as possible and to, let's be honest, try and gain a sort of refuge and protection from powers in the US who could offer him a salvation, i.e, get him off the hook.

I think it's embarrassing for him and hugely disrespectful towards the teachings of the Bible and makes fun of the religion as a whole. The guy was openly atheist in the past.

Of course anybody can convert and are always free to, but atheism to spirituality is a huge shift and well, it all reeks of desperation.
