EA even in its hay day was an unimaginative, risk averse, corporate soul sucker. It reduced one of the best life sims game into a cash cow forever cursed to only be a shitty dlc vessel for financially irresponsible player's 20 bucks. But that's besides the point.
Dragon Age has such a rich lore, such a vast world building and its roots are in d&d. If EA ever did anything with their IP, we should've been DROWNING in Dragon Age TTRPG content right now. There are sooo many new systems coming up and they are all rapidly building fan base. The TTRPG for Dragon Age has a built in fan base, a good power system, a low fantasy setting different enough to separate it from d&d and provide a new player experience, all it needed was some TLC.
TL:DR EA is the devil that makes too much money making mediocre games that it doesn't realise the gold mine the Dragon Age IP could be.
I don't have twitter so I can't follow devs or obsidian directly but I've been seeing news of layoffs after layoffs. Do we have any confirmation that DLC is in production or coming soon?
