Hoarding Sucks!

Hoarding sucks!

The title says it all! I've been hoarding since I was a kid. When I was probably just thought to be messy or lazy. Now 23 years into owning a home I've ruined it by hoarding.

Every trauma I've faced, Dad passing away, Mom in a major car accident, sons cancer scare, husband hit by a car and killed, my Mom passing away and facing having to now be the breadwinner for my family. I built my walls higher and higher, literally. In the process I've hurt my two children by having them endure living this way. The two, and only people I have left in my life. That I love dearly.

So I did the mental work to prepare myself to do a huge purge and clean my house, finally. I've figured out what it would take, dumpsters, supplies and some help with my mortgage (as I am soon to be 2 months late), even though I work full time and Doordash parttime.

I started a Gofundme. Here's where my rant comes in. The Gofundme suggests I send a big shout out to all of my friends so they will donate and share my fundraiser.....well, surprise surprise.....I have NO friends.

This hoarding illness has also kept me lonely, isolated and friendless. I am a hoarder who is ashamed and embarrassed of my home and life.. My home is now falling into disrepair, so to neighbors I'm probably also a pariah. I don't get close to people or neighbors because It's not like I'll ever get close enough to let people into my world.

So here I sit needing help, ready to work hard, and yet living in fear every moment of losing my home. I really have to go through things as important belongings and mementos are mixed in with trash.

I belive two months of solid working will get the job done. So, along with my rant I guess my plea as a fellow hoarder would be please please share the Gofundme information in my bio. You people are my only connection to people. I truly pray for you, and all of us. As they say the struggle is real.

I am tired of feeling and being isolated. I am so tired period.. Hoarding is exhausting.. My kids need to see me come out the other side of this. I need to see me come out the other side of this. I need to breathe. I feel like I'm suffocating. Please help. Please share.

Also, I really want to connect with others. I'm a good person, I care. I just want to live and not have our world taken away from us.

Please help me save our home

I am a hoarder. I have done the mental health work to start purging my homes clutter and reclaim the lives of me and my children. I want to create a home that is once again safe and healthy for all of us. Because of my hoarding I'm a very private person. I am deeply ashamed and embarrassed by my hoarding. I am trying to raise funds to rent dumpsters and supplies, as well as become current on my mortgage. Please the link in my bio. I would be so very very grateful for any financial help. Thank you

Please help save my home

My name is Holly, and I am raising funds for myself and my family as we fight to save the home we have had for 23 years. It is very hard to say this out loud, but I have struggled with hoarding, and it has put our home and our stability at risk. I am sharing this because I want to be honest about where we are and how deeply urgent this is for us. I have gotten the mental help I need to stop hoarding, and I am committed to making real changes so my family can have a safe, healthy home and a fresh start. I work fulltime, and started a Go fund me to raise funds for dumpsters, supplies and help with my mortgage for a few months. Please see the link in my bio. I would be so very very grateful for any help.

Praying to save my home

I am a hoarder and because of that I stay very isolated. I've done the mental work to prepare myself for the giant purge to make my home safe, comfortable and healthy for me and my children. I am a few months behind in my mortgage. I am asking for prayers to make my dream of continuing to live in our home and making it once again a livable space a reality. Thank you so much.

Please help me

I have been a hoarder really all my life. Due to my hoarding I have acquaintances, but no real friends. I was married, but my husband passed away. All that is left in my family are my kids. My hoarding is bad, really bad. I am ashamed, embarrassed and feel so guilty for what my kids have endured due to my ocd & hoarding. I am finally ready to purge my home of the mess/clutter. I have gotten the mental health help I needed, and now I'm ready to live. I have figured that it will take me aprox. 2 solid months of steady hard work to fix my home, but the problem is I work fulltime and Doordash part time. I would need funds for dumpsters, supplies and mortgage payments. How do I do this? I want desperately to save my home of 23 years, which now also needs repairs. I have to ho through things as my family's memories and memento are mixed in the mess. I tried starting a Go Fund me, but obviously with zero friends no one will donate. I am so scared and depressed. This hoarding and ocd has me so isolated. I have no one.

Please see the link in my bio. I would be so very very grateful for any help. You would really help my kids and I have a new life. Thank you.
