I was pulled over last night heading south at the souderton exit on 309. I was making the exit and the cop pulled me over after I was on the ramp. His reason was I was driving excessively below the speed limit and i briefly touched the line. I was going the same speed as the car in front of me. The cop even acknowledged this fact. Seemed excessive like he was fishing for any sign of intoxication. Is this common in that area? Fwiw it was around 7:30 pm, not 2 am.

Diagnosed type 2 March 2025 with an A1c of 7.5. Today’s bloodwork at 5.5. I noticed a trend in my bloodwork. My blood protein has dropped from
7.7 to 6.7. Albumin is steady around 4.7, so the drop would be globulin. The largest drop was a 4 month period after I was diagnosed and dropped my A1c. My dr doesn’t seem concerned. Has anyone else noticed this trend? From what I read high globulin levels could indicate inflammation, so getting healthy metabolically could explain the steady decrease.

This job popped up on my Glassdoor feed. I usually ignore these, but this one stuck out. Network engineer in Philly 15-17 an hour. This is less than I made at my first real IT job 25 years ago. Anyone else seeing super low paying job ads hoping to get someone desperate?

Does anyone have experience with the pre-flashed Athom AR01 IR/RF device? I have the components to build my own IR blaster but bought this device due to size and simplicity. I can't seem to get it to send IR commands successfully. It registers with HA with a build in IR Learn and IR Send control. You can learn an IR code and store it to 1 of 10 slots. You then select the slot and send. The IR learning seems to be working(the interface registers that a single was learnt), but no code is being sent. The IR LED does light(confirmed with old digital camera) but not registered as a valid code. I even build a simple IR receiver using a TSOP and esp32. Nothing is seen there as well. I tried capturing codes from several devices and they all act the same. FWIW the AR01 has 2 LEDs visible on the top. One is lit red continuously, the other is flashing like 3-4 times a second. To me this is not a pattern for something acting normally, but it seems like its booting and working properly. Support from Athom appears to be non existent.

I did consider reflashing this device with more of a basic IR transmit/receive config to verify the hardware is good. From the factory it grabs a yaml file from github for configuration.

Edit: I did a factory reset and reflashed it. It seems to be working now.

I was in ocean city Md last week. The visibility was good and I could see several ships hanging out in the same area for several days. One was an oil tanker and the other was a cargo ship. I just checked the MarineTraffic app and they are still there. I know nothing about shipping and looked it up. From
What I read some larger ships stay at sea for lightening before they can proceed up rivers due to weight. These ships appear to be traveling away. The one was at Marcus Hook Anchor(Delaware river), then Big Stone Beach Anchor(Delaware Bay). Now it’s sitting out in the Atlantic. What is the reason? Does this have anything to due with oil commodity pricing?

Hi Group. We have a 15 year old house with high levels of sulfur. The well company installed an Iron Breaker 3 system that “mostly” worked ok. We needed to run the regen every night and I replaced the media every 5 years. The main issue was untreated water during regen and occasional inadequate sulfur removal. This system was about $1500 in 2010 dollars. We don’t have high levels of iron.

We were having a conversation with my wife’s brother and they just started having sulfur issues and had the kinetico sulfur guard installed. We called the local water treatment company and had them install one. This was installed in march. It worked great for about 2 months. We started having a “sulfur type” smell every once in a while. It’s hard to describe but it’s not really like rotten eggs. It’s more like a fuel type smell, almost like diesel. We would get this smell occasionally on the iron breaker, and it usually has a film on top when this happened. No film now with the kinetico. Now the smell seems to be constant. It’s getting through our fridge filter now, which never happened before.

I just forced a regen and it seems better at the moment, but something still seems off. I have the company coming out on the 22nd but just wondering if anything to look at prior. I suspect it’s not regenerating frequently enough. I believe the disc they installed is a #2.

We have a Climatemaster tranquility 27 5 ton closed loop geo system that is locking out. We just had a new air coil installed this winter and obviously concerned we were locking out due to that failing. That’s not the issue we are locking out due to an Overflow condition(6 blinks). Then pan inside the unit is flowing perfectly fine. I suspected it was the condensate pump due to the amount of sludge in the pump. I got a new pump and I’m having the same issue. I wired up a multimeter to the overflow wires on the pump and I verified the pump kicks in before the overflow switch trips. Is there any know issues with the units exhibiting this issue. FWIW, this is the first time we’ve had this particular issue in 15 years. It did not lock out due to this at all when heating. It only seems to happen when running in stage 2.

Installing an a229 pro with the hardwire kit. I’m testing the voltage on the fuse taps to verify I don’t put them in backwards and bypass the fuse. Im only getting voltage when I install them one way. Is there a diode built into these things to prevent backwards installation? I measure with my meter and I’m getting no continuity either way. Fuses test continuity both ways.

Edit: I found that the primary fuse slot need to be populated to get continuity. This is NOT the slot that comes with a fuse pre-installed. So if you use an empty slot in your fuse box, you need to move the fuse.

This might not be the right place to ask. I’m having an nfas pri issue after migrating to cucm from avaya. I have a ticket open with Verizon. I was told that the trunking group only works from 7-4:30 and no overtime. They told me to call tomorrow at 7 to work with them. What is the best number to call to bypass all the wireless and fios nonsense? The number they gave me to call is the general vz support number. I don’t want to spend my entire maint window on hold.

Just got myself a 9861 to test out. Trying to register to MRA with service domain. All the docs I'm finding state I should get the option to enter a service domain or activation code. I'm only seeing the option for activation code. Am I missing something config wise to get the service domain option? This phone was NOT registered to this cluster. Brand new out of box.

My parents live in an assisted living facility. They were only provided guest access. There is a guest wireless ssid, but nobody I’ve talked to knows the password. They don’t have any IT staff. I’ve left messages with their admin department several times and never heard back. The problem is the guest requires captive portal and smart devices don’t work. Looking at gli.net slate ax device to sit between the guest wireless and their devices. Anybody have experience with this thing. Can it intercept the captive portal page on subsequent requests and “press enter”. Just looking to get their smart tv working.

Working on a V15 cluster. We have 3 sites and specific nodes have TFTP enabled, as well as specific nodes have Call Processing enabled. How does MRA decide which nodes to connect to for these services? Based on what I'm seeing in the logs it's essentially random. Out of 7 nodes only 3 have TFTP, and it tries them all until it gets a response. Slows down MRA registration. Is there any way to specify which nodes host which services in MRA?

Hi group. Looking at buying/building a shed this summer. I found the planners paradise shed a perfect design to match our house. 10/12 roof, dormers, etc. the price was right until I saw it was a kit. 12x16 is about $8600 with the optional floor kit. I would do vinyl siding and GAF 30 year shingles to match our house. This would be additional. So probably closer to 10-11k all in. I priced out doing it myself(no kit). I ended up around 6-7k all in. Is the precut lumber and instructions really worth the 4k premium? Time isn’t a consideration here. I’m not in a hurry.

Hi Group,
In the process of doing a 12.15 to 15 migration. All new IPs and hostnames. Did an export of only the pub, imported to a new 15 pub. Added the subs manually. I planned on doing the cert merge, but I'm finding phones are registering to the new cluster with no issues. I did find that all the certs we migrated over to the new pub, then distributed to the subs. This includes the ITLRecovery. My understanding is the old cluster TVS needs to trust the new certs. That is not the case here. Should this be working? They are all self signed.

Edit: The ITLRecovery cert is the same on both clusters, and the original cluster is still up. Could this be what's making it work?
