BE65 v1.2?

Long story short, my Deco BE65 (EU) hardware revision 1.0 started missbehaving recently and crashing when MLO was enabled... so TP Link issued RMA and replacement under warranty.

Now I got notification about the shipping which said that replacement is Deco BE65 (EU) v1.20. However, I see absolutely no record of such revision anywhere. I know in EU they've 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, but nothing in between.

anyone see 1.2 somewhere?

Ex30 squeaking

Can someone please kindly explain like I’m 5 how can I get rid of the embarrassing squeaking coming from the back wheels when driving at very low speeds (<30km/h)?

Thank you kindly.

What’s “solar” about them?

I always assumed the solar on top is to power the compactor inside, but saw one open today by the worker and there’s just a regular green bin inside…

Half day Disneyland pass for free tomorrow (Wednesday)

Apologies if it’s not a right place to post, but I’m leaving Paris tomorrow at 2pm and have 2 passes to Disneyland for that day. I don’t want them to go to waste, so maybe someone would like a free afternoon/evening fun?

Happy to share the MagicPass after 3pm if anyone’s interested and promises to use them :)

I’m not sure what’s the best way to share it, so feel free to spread the word!

Speedcams reporting

No judgment here, just genuine question looking for understanding.

Why are people so big on reporting speedcams, checkpoints etc?

I’m probably getting this wrong, but surely we should all drive carefully and responsibly 100% of the time, and speed limits and gardai checkpoints are just to help enforce that. Why are people so keen to report those as a warning to other drivers?

How is it different from advising someone how to steal, avoid tax, build a bomb, or any other illegal activity?

What happens with trade-in vehicles?

I recently traded in my 2016 Hyundai i20 for a new car at a dealer. It was my first ever car, I learned to drive in it, I passed my driving test in it, it was essentially a family member, so I was curious as to what happens to it…

I assumed it would be resold, so I kept an eye on websites but it never popped up anywhere. It’s been almost 3 months now. I also kept looking at car ownership change, and nothing since the dealer took it over.

I wonder what could happen to it? Was it scrapped? 🙊

Insurer won’t cover courtesy car - is this normal?

So my car needs to go to service for recall repair for couple of days. The dealer is giving me a courtesy car for that period: essentially the same car, just newer. They told me to make sure to let my insurer know.

My insurer (Revolut/AIG Europe) basically turned around and said that they refuse to put the temporary cover on my courtesy car based on risk assessment and if I’m not happy I should find another insurer who will meet my needs.

Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone? What are my options here, apart from getting new insurance obviously.
