Pixel 9 pro screen lines and whitewash

My Pixel 9 Pro has suddenly developed screen lines and the display is becoming increasingly whitewashed. The phone still works, but the screen seems to be getting progressively worse. I kept it switched off for an entire day, but there’s been no improvement.

Am I completely cooked, or would this be covered under Google’s extended screen warranty program? It’s the weekend and the service centre doesn’t open until Monday, and I’m STRESSED. This just happened completely out of the blue.

Macbook Pro M1 Pro 14 software upgrade issue

Macbook Pro M1 Pro 14 software upgrade issue. I am on Sonoma 14.8.5 (23J423), anytime i want to update it , it freezes on the apple logo and reboots it to the current software. Apple service center offered to update it as well but same thing happened so they did a hard reset and reinstalled this version of sonoma and sent me home saying now you should be able to update it once on wifi at home ( since it was taking 2 hrs to reset it at the genius bar).

But ofcourse same issue persist. They hinted it could be a motherboard issue and if i wanted them to update it and diagnos it I would need to leave it with them for 3 weeks.

My major question is if I give them the machine and they fuck it up during the update and it doesnt turn back on, will they take responsibility or just give me back a dead bricked macbook. It works perfectly right now but need to update the OS to use the latest versions of Adobe and davinci programs hence considering.
