how is SR University hostel? Is it worth joining?

I'm considering joining the SR University hostel and want to know what it's actually like from students who are currently staying there or have stayed there.

I'd really appreciate an honest review. both the good and the bad not just the official information.

Could you tell me about:

• Bathrooms/Toilets: attached/common, cleanliness, water availability, hot water, how often to they clean them.

• Food: quality, taste, mess timings, hygiene.

• Important timings/rules: entry/exit timings, attendance, night restrictions, weekend rules etc.

• Going outside campus: how easy is it to leave campus? Do we need permission? How does it work on weekends?

• Wi-Fi & network: speed/reliability and mobile network inside rooms.

• Electricity: power cuts, AC usage, power backup.

• Cleaning & laundry: room cleaning, laundry facilities/cost, frequency.

• Study environment: can you actually study peacefully in the hostel?

• Safety & security: security, restrictions, belongings, incidents.

• Hostel facilities: gym, do they have separate boys gym? sports, common rooms, recreation, etc.

• Roommates: how are your roommates?

• Wardens/management: how strict/helpful are they? How are complaints handled?

• Cost: is the hostel fee actually worth what you get? Any additional/hidden expenses?

• Biggest disadvantages: what are the things you dislike most?

• Biggest advantages: what makes hostel life worth it?

• Things you wish you knew before joining

Most importantly:

Would you recommend staying in hostel or would you suggest staying outside campus? Why?

If possible please mention which year you stayed/stay there and whether it's boys' or girls' hostel, since things may have changed over time.

Thanks!

Looking for a good dermatologist in Karimnagar for severe acne

I'm 24M and my acne has gotten much worse over the last month.

I have a lot of inflamed pimples on both cheeks along with dark marks, and I think it's starting to leave scars.

I've tried basic skincare, but it doesn't seem to be improving anymore, so I want to consult a dermatologist instead of wasting money on random products.

Can anyone recommend a good dermatologist in Karimnagar who actually helped with moderate to severe acne?

I'm looking for someone who focuses on treatment rather than pushing expensive procedures.

If you've had a good personal experience, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. Thanks!

Looking for M.Tech (CSE/AI/ML) programs with 1st vear in Hyderabad and 2nd year abroad ?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to pursue an M. Tech in Computer Science or a related branch like Al. ML. Data Science, or Software Engineering.

I'm specifically looking for a program where:

- 1st year is completed in Hyderabad

- 2nd vear is completed at a partner university abroad through a twinning, dual-degree, or transfer program)

⁃ The degree is recognized and the partnership is official.

Does anvone know of:

Colleges or universities in Hyderabad that offer such programs?

Your experience with these programs and whether they're worth pursuing?

Thanks in advance!

24M, EEE graduate with low CGPA. Is pursuing an MSc in AI/ML abroad a realistic option ?

I'm 24M and graduated in 2025.

My background:

  • Diploma in EEE - CGPA: 6.3
  • B. Tech in EEE - CGPA: 6.67
  • School - CGPA: 8.0

I've never really been interested in EEE. I only chose it because my father insisted, and at that point I didn't have much of a choice.

After graduation, I struggled a lot to get a job. Recently I finally landed a Junior Full Stack Developer role (3 LPA) after months of job hunting. I know some MERN stack, but that's about it.

The problem is... I genuinely want to move into CSE/AI/ML.

I don't have any academic background in AI/ML, and apart from some web development, I don't really know the field yet. I plan to spend the next 3–4 months learning the fundamentals if I decide to apply for the January intake.

The countries I'm considering are Germany and Ireland.

Here's where I'm stuck:

  • My CGPA is low, so I'm worried I won't get into good public universities in Germany.
  • I've heard MSc programs in Germany can take longer than 2 years to complete and can be academically demanding. (I'm already 24 can't spend more than 2 years on Msc)
  • Ireland seems more straightforward, but tuition is expensive and I probably won't qualify for scholarships.
  • Taking a loan also scares me.

My biggest concern is my background.

I'm from EEE, I'm not particularly good at math, and I have no AI/ML knowledge right now

Will I actually be able to understand master's-level AI/ML courses and do well? Or am I setting myself up for failure?

At the same time, I genuinely enjoy computer science far more than EEE. I feel like if I'm studying something I'm actually interested in, I can work hard and perform much better than I did during my engineering.

I'm also wondering if I should even go abroad.

Would it make more sense to:

  • Pursue an M. Tech in India instead (My father wants me to do higher education in India or abroad)?
  • Or take the leap and go abroad now?

Another thing that's bothering me is my age. I'm already 24, and I feel like I'm behind compared to a lot of people.

I'm honestly confused and scared of making the wrong decision.

If anyone has gone from a non-CS background (especially EEE) into AI/ML, or has studied in Germany or Ireland, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Please suggest me better countries which can offer scholarship to me and are easier to get a job after studies.

23M, first software job and I'm completely overwhelmed. Is this normal ?

23M (turning 24 in a few days).

I graduated in 2025 in non IT branch. I've been learning full-stack since college. I know the MERN stack, have built a few React projects and some backend projects with Node/Express/MongoDB, but I haven't really built a proper full-stack MERN app from scratch.

After graduating in July 2025, I struggled a lot to get a job. I failed one interview at a good company because my DSA wasn't good enough. (I'm trying to learn DSA, but I'm honestly still pretty bad at it.)

Then I did a 3-month internship that, looking back, barely taught me anything. It just felt like wasted time.

I also know a little TypeScript, but I don't really know how to use it properly with React or Node. I know almost nothing about Git and GitHub. Whenever I had to push code, I'd literally Google or copy-paste commands and somehow get it done.

So overall, I have some exposure to web development, but I definitely don't feel like someone who can build and ship real products confidently.

Recently I joined a company as a Junior Full Stack Developer with a 3 LPA package. It's not even an IT company, just a small company with a few developers.

Today they shared the project with me and asked me to run it.

I was completely freaked out.

The codebase is huge. I couldn't understand anything. Everything is in TypeScript. They're using Couchbase, Redis, Docker... things I don't even know what they do, let alone how to use them.

I asked one of the senior full-stack developers (around 5 years of experience) a few questions. He seemed really busy and wasn't very helpful. I don't even blame him. Maybe if I were in his place and someone kept asking very basic questions while I had deadlines, I'd probably react the same way.

From tomorrow they're going to start assigning me tasks.

The project is about tracking vehicles, showing live location and other metrics, and I genuinely have no idea where to even begin.

So I wanted to ask people who have already been through this:

- Was your first job also this overwhelming?

- Did your company actually train you, or were you just thrown into a huge codebase?

- What do you do when you're assigned work on technologies you've never even touched before?

- How are freshers actually expected to become productive?

I'm also wondering how this differs in companies like Accenture, Deloitte, TCS (I gave tcs ion nqt and scored ocerall 68% but it'snot the tcs nqt can i get job in tcs?), etc. Do they provide proper training or is it basically the same everywhere?

On top of all this, I'm stressing about my age. I'm turning 24 soon. Most people graduate at 21, while I graduated at 23. I look around the office and see people who are 21–22 already earning more than me and seeming way more competent.

At the same time:

- I'm not understanding anything in this codebase.

- I'm not sure if I should stay in this company.

- I'm not even sure if software engineering is for me anymore not exaggerating but i feel like I'm simply wasting time on something that I can't excel in.

- should I explore other career trajectories?

I struggled a lot to get this job, even though it's honestly not a great company.

I'm a pretty introverted person, and I find it hard to fit into the workplace.

I genuinely don't know what to do.

Has anyone else felt like this in their first job? Does it get better, or am I just in over my head?
