Piercings hurt to change??

I’m so confused!! I’ve just changed my second earrings for the second or third time since I’ve had them pierced and it hurt, again. It’s putting me off of changing them. I have beautiful £300 earrings I’d love to wear but when I take any earrings out or try and put any in, it nips like it was just pierced and I’ve just had them pushed through the fresh hole. I followed all after care for all of them and didn’t swap them out at all until 6 months had gone by. I was hoping today (it’s got to have been 6 months in general since I last tried to change them) that they wouldn’t hurt but they hurt just as bad and I’ve somehow made one bleed 😒 I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? Shouldn’t the nerves in the ear have healed now? Are they always meant to nip?! Am I doing something wrong? 😭

I love my piercings so much and I’m genuinely unable to enjoy them because of this. It’s so frustrating when others say they feel nothing when changing them!

No idea where to even start my guesses, any idea?

I’m new to calorie counting (about a month) and went out for lunch today. I had this macaroni - I have 0 regrets even if the calorie count is very high 😂 - and I’m curious how many calories people would estimate to be around? I had four small little bread ‘rolls’ with it that eye the length of my middle finger.

Periods and weight loss stalling - should I expect this each month?

Hello!

I'm sure this has been asked before but does your period have a huge affect on the weight loss front? I'm on desogestrel, so I don't get my 'period' but I know when it's due, I get really severe PMS and a lot of the other symptoms, just minus bleeding and the excruciating cramp I used to get.

For the last 5-6 days I've been eating at the same calorie range (1800) and walking 10-15k steps per day at a brisk/moderate pace. Prior to what felt like the start of my period I'd lost 4lb, 2lb each week at the above factors. I've actually walked even more this week.

Is it normal to expect it all to fluctuate a few lbs while in premenstural/menstural phase? Just so I know what to look at going forward as this is my first month calorie counting and weighing consistently. So any advice from other girlies regarding this would be really helpful.

Is it also likely this weight will drop off after the period? As it currently looks 'stalled' is it being masked temporarily? I'm curious as to how this works as obviously I've remained in the same deficit with the same exercise.

Thanks :)

26F, 5’7 currently 167lbs.

I’m using RENPHO scales each morning and tracking my calories with MyFitnessPal. It calculated me at 1650 calories in a deficit.

I’m currently walking 10k+ steps daily at a rate of 3.5mph and MyFitnessPal is upping the calories to 1850.

With eating 1850 per day, and walking 10k+ daily at the rate that I am, I’m currently losing 0.0.2 lbs per day, which is about 1.4lbs per week. I’m also lifting 3KG weights daily. (smol numbers yes😂)

Is it likely my calorie intake will change as the weight drops lower? It’s my first time doing this so I just want to make sure I’m going about it right 😊

Side question regarding RENPHO - how accurate really are the measurements these give you for things like for body fat, water %’s etc?

Morning!

If you’ve seen my prior posts you’ll know I’m currently in a deficit and actively trying to lose weight. I was trending 0.2lbs down per day for 5 days on track. I decided to have a maintenance day, maybe 50 calories over, and my weight jumped from 12.0.2 back up to 12.0.6 (originally 12.2) The scale looks like it’s having a heart attack jumping between the 11.13.8, 12.0.2 and finally sitting at 12.0.6. That maintenance day was not yesterday but the day prior, with things back to normal yesterday in deficit and 10k steps. Even on maintenance day I did 8k steps.

I don’t know much about how different factors can affect things but think it would be good to know about. It can be disheartening to see it suddenly shoot back up but I take it with a pinch of salt.

I’ve continued to do my 8-15k steps per day, along with my baby 3kg weights daily too.

I invested in some kitchen scales - although I’ve only had to use them a couple of times so far for granola and Greek yogurt. That and some cream - I had a nice cheesecake at home for desert within my calories 🤫 I also downloaded my fitness pal. Though I was sure I was staying within my calories; it’s nice to see it mapped out.

On top of the above, I decided to lower my calories from 1800-900 to 1650 and have been weighing myself daily since Tuesday. I changed my calories on Thursday to the 1650, but here are the results from Tuesday to today -

Tuesday - 12.1.8
Wednesday - 12.1.0 (huge change before I moved my calories, unsure if it was just delayed or water weight? Not sure how it all works, maybe someone can give me insight)
Thursday - 12.0.8
Friday - 12.0.6
Saturday - 12.0.4
Today - 12.0.2

The past 3-4 days (on the lower deficit - 1650) I have found myself totally floored. Because I work at home, I've had the opportunity to rest but I felt woozy after a walk I had this morning of 7.5k steps. I had granola and greek yogurt prior to going and a protein bar when I got home.

My TDEE at Sedentary is 1850 calories. 2110 at Light Exercise and 2379 at moderate.

The walks I'm doing daily are I'd like to think pretty brisk, I'm covering 1 mile in 17-18 minutes walking at 3.5 mph.

Do you think I fall under light exercise or moderate at this rate?

I think I'll likely eat at maintenance today so I can have a sweet treat tonight because I feel like my body just needs something lol.

I sleep plenty - albeit I do wake up and turn over a lot in the night - take multivitamins and vitamin D daily. I'm currently laid on my bed wanting to read but feeling sleepy and it's only 5:23pm.

After talking to some of you I decided to take calories down from 1800 to 1650. I also invested in some kitchen scales although I’ve only used them a couple of times so far for granola, yogurt etc. Since dropping the extra 150 calories daily my body has started to lose weight at 0.2lbs per day so far and seems to be consistently trending down daily.

I’ve kept walking 10-15k steps per day along with lifting my baby 3kg weights (😂) daily. I also downloaded my fitness pal just to have more of an idea of my exact intake, although I was very strict prior, it’s good to be able to see it mapped out.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the advice that was given to me! And to let you know I took it on board.

26F! Currently 12st 1-2lbs.

Went through a terrible mental health period and went from 10st 8 back to 12st 1-2lbs.

I have been walking daily now for the last 3 weeks between 3-6 miles per day 90% of the days, with a rest day here and there or days of less walking. I’ve now made sure I’m also getting over 10k steps per day - and these are just the ones that I am actively tracking, I do more without having my phone on me. I have actively stopped snacking all the time; and if I do have snacks have opted for much lower calorie snacks. I’ve incorporated more fruit into my diet, I’m trying to incorporate more veggies as well. I have been tracking my calories based on packaging, and remaining in a deficit. Based on what I looked at online, a fair deficit for myself is 1,800/900 calories, which is what I’m remaining within. I’ve had 1 day over this 100% but by a couple hundred calories because I went out for lunch. I’ve also been daily - the last week - lifting 3KG weights to help with arm fat and general strength.

My legs are feeling much stronger, I’m feeling like my general athletic health is better in the sense I could walk much further with no issues at all. I ‘feel’ better, but I done see any change.

To add - I’m walking at 3,5mph so brisk walking, not leisurely

I’m on desogestrel and have bled this last week, but my periods are very random because it’s a pill with no break.

I’m just looking to see if anyone has any advice. I did this weight loss in a very similar fashion but was still eating terribly a year or so ago by walking daily in the same way. I’m definitely eating better now than I was then; and I wasn’t tracking calories at all then. It’s important to say I’m under stress almost all day every day at the moment too.

Is there something I’m doing wrong?!

Thanks for any input :)
