Adventurer 3 Help

Can someone PLEASE help me (brand new noob) figure out what I’m missing? I’m honestly at my wits’ end with this printer. 😭

I bought this printer used (flashforge adventurer 3) and have been troubleshooting it nonstop. I’ve replaced the extruder feeder assembly, checked for clogs multiple times, adjusted the settings in every way I can think of, and even changed the feeder gear to a brass gear.

The weirdest part is that it mainly happens during the very first thin support-type layer. The feeder gears start slipping and making that awful knocking/clicking noise. I’ve checked the filament path, there’s no obvious clog, and I’ve tried adjusting the tension and multiple print settings, but I still cannot figure out what is causing it.

I feel like I’ve tried literally everything at this point, and I’m getting so frustrated and desperate to figure this out. 😩 I just want to know what I’m overlooking before I completely lose my mind over this printer.

What could cause the feeder gears to slip/knock specifically during that first thin support-type layer when there’s no clog, I’ve replaced the feeder assembly, changed the gear to brass, and already adjusted the settings? What am I missing?!
