How many people here are actually using AI?

I’m 64, and over the past year I’ve learned to use AI as a practical tool for my projects.

I don’t ask it to think for me or blindly accept what it produces. I use it to organize ideas, research unfamiliar subjects, improve instructions, plan projects, and help turn what I’m picturing into something I can actually build.

I’m curious how many other people here use AI. What do you use it for, and has it genuinely helped you—or have you decided it isn’t for you?

Costco Business Center or Chef’Store for bulk meat?

I already have a Costco membership, but I’ve only bought meat at US Foods Chef’Store. Both stores are about an hour from me.

For those who have shopped at both, which has the better meat selection, variety of cuts, quality, and bulk options? I’m planning my first Costco Business Center trip and would appreciate any recommendations on what to look for.

Never have shopped at Costco business

I have only shopped at the chefs store, Costco and the chefs store are about the same distance except 1 has heavy traffic and the other is easy to drop in and out. So does Costco have better deals. I drive an hour regardless of the store.

Placerville summers are brutal—but the payoff is sweet

What’s your garden giving back this year?

“Placerville, did we wake up in Bodega Bay?”

Middle of August in the foothills, when we're usually cooking in the heat—and I wake up to this. Fog, cool air, and a beautiful morning. Man, I love mornings like this. I'll take it! 😎

Yogurt cost

$20+ for frozen yogurt for two — is this just normal now?

We stopped at a local frozen yogurt shop in the Placerville area. It was great, no complaints about the yogurt, but two cups came out to over $20. 😳

I haven't bought frozen yogurt in a while, so I'm curious — is this pretty normal pricing now, or has it gotten noticeably more expensive around here?

River for the dogs on these hot days

I want to take my dogs to the river. I live near Forni Rd—where’s a good spot with a beach area and calm water to let them run around? I've got a Shih Tzu mix and a Lab/Shepherd mix. And the cool thing is these are all close by thank you.
