I’m finishing up season 5, (just starting episode 21 to be specific) and Logan and Rory have gotten serious, but I just don’t like this guy for her. On paper, they make a good company. Two young, beautiful, educated people who come from prominent families. It makes total sense for them to be together if you’re only looking at things through a WASP-lens, but something about just doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t know what it is.
I felt a similar way about Jason aka Digger. I couldn’t stand his sheepish cockiness. I hated that he almost always spoke in sarcastic quips, and he always came off as a guy who’s secretly very insecure but masks it with stupid jokes, but it doesn’t make him seem confident he just seemed like an asshole to me. That’s not necessarily how I feel about Logan, he does seem genuinely confident and I’m sure being young, conventionally attractive and having an Ivy League playground probably helps a lot. He seems like a fun guy, but it’s mostly because of the kind of things he engages in. Late night poker games, petty theft, secret societies. Personally, I would enjoy stuff like that, but I don’t know if it makes for a great partner.
I can’t put my finger on why he bothers me so much. So, I figured I’d turn to the super fans in this subreddit for some insight. Am I reading too much into it or is Logan secretly evil? Also, this is my first ever watch so please no spoilers!
EDIT: Just a side note, but the casting for Logan and his dad is really good!
First time watcher, finishing up season 3 and Max has returned. The way Lorelai broke up with Max was shitty, but why does no one ever address the elephant in the room? Which is that Max proposed way too soon and for a really dumb reason. Your relationship is seen as unprofessional so your solution is to just get married? Sorry, but that makes no sense and why is that never acknowledged?
I’m at the end of S3E19 and Max is so childish. Acting like he’s so out of control of his urges that he has to be 10 feet away from her. Kissing her and then acting like she was supposed to know you weren’t interested in rekindling things. I gotta admit, Lorelai was a bit obnoxious to go after Max the way she did, but why does he act like she’s the villain and never owns up to his own wrongdoing.
It’s weird how he acts like she’s the problem when he’s the one that ruined things by trying to get married. How can you be mad at her for running off but never address the fact that she ran off because she didn’t have as strong of feelings as she thought, because it was way too soon for him to propose. Did he even apologize for having such a ridiculous “solution” to their problem of not being able to date? Please tell me season 3 is the last we see of him.
I’ve been trying to learn Italian for a few months now, but as of late I’ve been getting more serious about investing time into it. I’m currently using Duolingo and I also just recently rejoined Babbel. Whenever I look for language learning and retention tips, I see a lot of people suggest watching television in the language you’re trying to learn.
While I do get recommendations for foreign shows on the streaming platforms I use, they are typically from SEA. I wouldn’t even know where to begin when looking for a good Italian series, so I’d like recommendations for something that is conversational or maybe a good, educational children’s series because I have heard that’s good for learning as well. As far as shows that I like, comedy, crime and drama are my favorite genres. Also, I have access to most major streaming platforms. (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, MAX, Peacock, Apple TV+)
Also, would it be best to watch the series in the original language with English subtitles or should I just try Italian subtitles? Looking for advice for people who have had any level of success with learning a language through this method.
So as the caption says, I’m coming to SF and I’m making plans but I’m looking for suggestions on what to do the last couple of days of my trip. I’m pretty open minded, I like art, nature, good food, sight seeing, shopping, and unique experiences.
I was considering going to the San Mateo county fair. I’m sure that could take up an entire day, which I don’t mind, but I’m willing to pass on it for a day of multiple different things depending on the suggestions. I also saw that there is a First Sunday event at the Ferry Building that looks interesting.

I watched season 2 when it first premiered and haven’t watched it again since. I was watching with my roommate and during the last few episodes, we started to notice small changes between the intros.
I have tried to look this up online because I was hoping to find a mashup of each intro, sort of like this.
But I haven’t found any articles that mention it, or any posts on this sub that talk about it. I guess I’ll know for sure when I rewatch, but please someone tell me they noticed too and I’m not delusional.
