I accidentally warmed up my CGRP injection, is it safe to use now?

i was grabbing hot takeout and absent mindedly had the takeout on top of my injection heating it up for about 30 minutes, it feels pretty warm and even hot to the touch and the injection is wet from condensation, is it ok to inject it now? this just happened and i’m already late on my dose so thinking of just injecting it anyway... I’m so stupid because i’m having a migraine rn, help 😭

How do I deal with a bad pilonidal flare-up at home while waiting for surgery? And also avoid future flare-ups?

Hi guys, there are no pilonidal specialists in my country so I [25F] will have to travel to the US and stay there for a bit for the cleft lift surgery that I have been eyeing, however I cannot do that until late 2027 due to my work.

I have been suffering from pilonidal abscesses since January, it’s been hell. I have had 5 flare ups just this year, 3 of them I ended up going to the ER and the incision and drainage was the worst pain of my life. I was screaming and crying and felt like I was going to have a heart attack or die from the level of pain. It was badly infected and a lot of stuff came out. There were 2 flare up somewhere in between these that luckily calmed down and went away on their own after sitting sideways to avoid pressure on them and did not develop into full blown abscesses.

I am having another flare for 2 days now, and it’s very painful especially with a desk job. I really don’t want to go to the ER as I’m already unwell due to chronic health issues and I do not want to go through the pain of I&D ever again. I’m also in trouble with my boss since i’ve been taking a lot of leaves due to pilonidal this year and I don’t want to take any further medical leaves. How can I make it go away at home? Also how do I avoid future flare ups?

I did buy a sciatica pillow from amazon for WFH but I did not have a good experience with it, it seems to put even more pressure on the area, if you have any specific pillows or desk chairs that worked for you I would really appreciate recs.

I have been suffering every month and I’m not sure how to keep going till the surgery comes around later next year… please give me your tips and remedies on how to clear a flare up (and also how to avoid future flare ups). Thank you!!

Any recs for PBR with floor to ceiling windows or big windows in general (2 Bedroom for <$3,600) in downtown Toronto?

We would like it to be rent controlled. We’re currently paying $3,600 for a 2 bed 1 bath downtown, it’s fine but it feels overpriced because it doesn’t have floor to ceiling windows and it’s very old, not renovated. The layout is terrible. We would prefer a purpose built rental since I have previously had a bad experience with a landlord moving in their child to increase the price and re-list.

Livmore seems to meet this criteria and it looks good, however their available units are all on the 2nd/3rd floor so I’d imagine it gets pretty loud with the ambulance noises from all the hospitals in that area.

Having trouble finding anything else in downtown toronto that looks new/modern (but still rent controlled) and could be a good place to live and doesn’t have a pest problem or airbnb problem or is in a sketchy area for 2 women, so I thought I’d ask on here for recs.

Thank you!

Hi Museband, when will you realize that North Americans also like Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry?

This July I’ll be attending my 7th Muse concert (Canadian here), and it’s so disappointing that they pretty much have the exact same setlist every single time they come to North America. Do they realize a lot of their fans dig the old stuff? How is Plug in Baby the only song they’re playing off the first 2 albums? Also Hysteria is amazing, but that’s it from Absolution too?

I’m sorry but I think they should try to shake things up a bit especially when they’re playing smaller venues with higher prices (which will of course attract people who are big enough fans to be willing to shell out that money)

I know they read the subreddit, how are they ignoring this when clearly a lot of their fans want it lol (please Matt and Dom, thank you!! 🙏🙏) I’m not against the songs from the newer albums but a little variety in the classics would be nice 🥲

(Also before you come at me, please watch literally any other band live. As an example, I saw the Strokes a few weeks ago and they played like 15 songs off their older albums, and Green Day played the entirety of Dookie and American Idiot during their Saviors tour)

Someone posted the setlist from the recent concert and it was so disappointing https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/2026/hollywood-casino-amphitheatre-maryland-heights-mo-334954d1.html

What’s going on with my big toenail? I’ve included photos from today and one year ago

Hey guys, i’ve been depressed for 2 years now so Im sorry for the state of my nails, I neglect my health a lot. I am not sure when this started, maybe 1.5 years ago? But I noticed my big toenail looked super weird. I stopped wearing open toed footwear after that but didn’t really go to a doctor. Any idea what this could be, and what kind of specialist do I need to see for treatment? Would it be a dermatologist or podiatrist or can I get something over the counter?

I am a woman who lives in a big city and works in tech so it’s becoming really embarrassing especially when I have to constantly be mindful of hiding my feet and can’t wear any cute footwear ☹️ Thanks

Will it be a bad look to ask to move my start date by 1 day because my wife has a doctors appointment (with sedation)?

Hi guys, I [25M] am starting a new job at a major tech company 2 weeks from now. My wife has a doctors appointment for a small procedure, and they require someone to pick her up and stay with her for a bit due to the sedation used.

The doctors appointment was originally scheduled during the gap between my current job and new job, however it got postponed as the doctors availability changed.

The appointment is now on my very first day at the new job, so it would be a pretty bad look to leave midway through the day to pick her up and take the rest of the day off to stay with her. She doesn’t really know anyone who can stay with her on a weekday, people we know have to go to work too.

I’m worried about asking the employer to move the start date, because I’m the one who gave them that start date in the first place (before her appointment changed). Should I just ask the HR if i can push my start date by 1 day due to my wife’s appointment? How do I phrase this in a way that wont be a terrible look? How much detail do I go into (it wasn’t poor planning, unfortunately her appointment date changed etc.)

They require 5 days a week in the office, but I was thinking of still suggesting if I could do my first day remotely as an alternative, do you guys think that would make my request sound a bit better?

I’m so sorry if this is a stupid question! This is the first time I’ve ever switched jobs so I dont have much experience with things like this

Hi guys, my family and I are going to Banff from 31 May (this Sunday) to 3 June (Wednesday), but the weather looks dismal. What can we do there in this weather?

Hi guys, we were excited to go to Banff but the weather forecast has looked horrid for the period we’re there. Looks like it’s going to rain like crazy and I heard there might be flooding? We are also not prepared for the rain and forgot my dad’s puffer jacket at home, he only has 1 fleece sweater (everyone else has a puffer but it’s not waterproof). We don’t have hiking shoes since we’re not hikers, I am terribly clumsy and me and other people in my family can walk for a while but not on inclines or on rugged terrain.

Do we have the correct clothing for this weather? Is there a rental shop or something at Banff where we can grab a rental jacket for my dad if he gets cold? Would a rain jacket be enough if we rent that with the fleece sweater?

Also what can we do at Banff in this weather? The trip and hotels are not cancelable at this point unfortunately. Thanks for your recommendations!

Itinerary for 3 day trip (31 May - 3 June) without significant hiking, is this doable?

Hi everyone! We’re a family of 5 adults going to Banff for the first time. I’ve never planned an itinerary before, my parents are coming from Japan for a family wedding and they can’t hike too much (they are very active and walk 15-20k steps a day but have difficulties with uneven or slippery terrain, elevation, etc.), plus I start getting chest pain if I exert myself too much due to a health condition, so trying to work around that while seeing as much of Banff as possible. Is this itinerary reasonable? Also wondering if Jasper is worth the 3 hours drive each way.

Would appreciate any inputs/additions from people who have made the trip before, especially if you know any other interesting sights that can be seen without proper hiking, or fun things to do.

Banff trip with family members who can walk 20,000 steps but can’t do hikes? (30 May to 2 June)

Hi everyone! I’m making a trip to Banff with my parents who are in their 60s, they’re really active and good with walking (they live in Japan and walk over 20,000 steps a day) but they’re not able to do hikes. They’re coming to Canada for a wedding in the family, and they haven’t been here in almost 10 years, so they wanted to hit up Banff even though it’s not the best time to do so. I’ve never been either. I’ve been trying to plan things that would not involve crazy hikes but from what I saw hiking seems unavoidable there, and also the conditions seem to be not great when we’re going. My dad seems adamant on seeing Banff this time since he doesn’t know when he’ll make the long trip from Asia again.

Any recommendations for walks that are clear/simple or things to see that would not involve a significant challenge?

We will be renting a car for the duration of the trip as well. Thank you!
