Anyone here looking for more people to actually collaborate with?

Curious how people here usually find collaborators when you have a track that needs something specific — vocals, production, guitar, drums, mixing, etc.

Do you normally post a clip and hope the right person sees it, DM people directly, or already have a group you work with?

I'm working on something that would let musicians post a work-in-progress and make it clear what they're looking for, so other musicians can jump in and contribute directly.

Would love to hear what works — and what sucks — about finding collaborators right now.

Singer-songwriters who struggle to find producers — what do you do?

If you have a song written, maybe even a rough voice memo or demo, but you don't have the production skills to turn it into a finished track, how do you usually find someone to work with?

Do you post in communities, DM producers, hire someone, ask friends, or does the song usually just sit unfinished?

I'm working on something around making it easier for singer-songwriters with ideas/demos to connect with producers who are actually looking for projects to work on.

Curious if this is a real problem for people here and how you're solving it today.

Artists who have unfinished projects

What do you do with all those unfinished projects that never see the light of day? Would there be interest in sharing these projects so others can get it across the finish line? Working on something that might be perfect if there is interest!

Artists: would you use a GitHub for music?

I’m working on something inspired by the way **GitHub gives a project one place to live** — files, versions, history, branches, contributors — but for music.

The idea is that a song could live in one place from the first voice memo or demo through DAW projects, stems, alternate versions, collaborations, and eventually the final release.

You could use it completely privately as a home for your own work, or open a song up so other musicians can contribute ideas without overwriting what you already have.

I’m looking for a few singer-songwriters actively making music to try an early version and tell me what feels useful, confusing, or unnecessary.

Rough/unfinished music is actually ideal.

If that sounds interesting, **DM me**.
