Could my cats diet be contributing to recurrent GI issues?
For the past two weeks almost (minus a small interval at home), my cat has been held at the vet for a stomach infection. This is the third time she’s gotten sick with a stomach infection in the past year (other times was July 2025 and dec 2025) and this time its stayed the longest. Shes never had to stay at the vet for longer than a few hourss before and my life at home is very morning (and depressing) without her.
I know food can be a trigger for thiiings like this so i came to ask here. She primarily eats 9lives daily esstienals dry food. She used to also eat fancy feast gravy lovers but she’s become picky and only wants to eat the dry food (9she’ll eat it occasionally but not all the time with the dry food like she used to) At first hat didn’t worry me bescause she’s always drunk her water but now I’m wondering if just the dry food is triggering this.
Come this 26, I will have had her for two years (she was 6 weeks when I got her).
