I made something from my mind without a pattern and I’m a little bit proud

I know it’s not much and it’s very simple but I wanted an airy little hair scrunchie with a picot edge and then I made it from my mind, with no pattern!
I’ve been knitting for a year or two and I normally choose patterns based on new techniques I want to learn/get better at, but I’ve always wanted to be able to figure out how to make exactly what I want without needing to find a very specific pattern. This feels like a teeny tiny baby step in the right direction 🥰

If anyone has any tips/books/resources on how to make things without a pattern or how to make your own patterns please please tell me 🙏🏻

Are these from termites in an old photo frame?

These fell out of an old photo frame I unpacked. We recently moved home and found out after moving everything that there were termites in the old house. The photo frames were previously stored in a cardboard box in the shed.

Are these termites in an old photo frame? Aus

We’ve recently moved to a newly built apartment and these seed looking things fell out of a photo frame that I unpacked. We found out after we’d moved all our belongings that the previous house had termites. I think the frames were previously stored in a cardboard box in the shed. I haven’t seen any in anything else I’ve unpacked, do I need to have a professional inspect everything or can I just throw the photo frame out?

We’re on a very tight budget and the pest control places seem like they’re wanting to sell whole structural treatments that I can’t afford, but I obviously don’t want to make things worse and more expensive in the long term if I don’t deal with it properly now
