45 matches total

A 5-team group means 4 games per team. A heavyweight like India/Pakistan can afford one upset against a minnow and still have enough games to recover, while also giving a decent number of spots to the associates without diluting the quality of games too much.

Having the 2 best 3rd-placed teams qualify also means more group games could go down to the wire, with fewer dead rubbers.

One drawback is that one or two group-stage games might get repeated in the Super 8, which IMO should be okay (bonus if it's an India-Pakistan match 😁!).

Finalists play 9 matches, with around 6–7 of them against other Test nations.

And of course, ICC can draw India and Pakistan in the same group "coincidentally", hope they get seeded into the same Super 8 pool (or just rig it), and then hope they meet in the final too. 😁

Question for people following 7s football in Malabar.

If 7s football became huge partly because it needed less space than 11-a-side, why didn't futsal ever take off in the same way?

Futsal is arguably more technical, faster, can be played in even smaller spaces, is easier to organize, and feels like a great spectator sport.

Anyone else getting mosquitoes inside their car even when all the windows stay closed?

I keep finding mosquitoes in my car and I genuinely can’t figure out where they’re coming from. All windows are closed, I don’t leave the doors open for long, and there’s no obvious water source inside.

Could they be getting in through AC vents or door seals? Also wondering if any of the lining could have tiny gaps.

Mine is Sig AT.

Any ideas on what to check or how to get rid of them permanently?
