So yeah just want to share this I'm doing this first with this sub because most business ideas are being discussed here so this could help some...

So yeah I've been using reddit actively and spending a lot of time here I've seen a lot of your ideas commented for some talked with some personally so after doing all this I'm writing this so this can help some people. So after seeing and meeting lot of people knowing what they building i observed one thing is kept repeating. Thousands of people have ideas even I too have lot of ideas as I'm having my own company and i need to build something and this is what happening mostly here. When we get ideas some do a little research and become even more Confident and some don't research because believe their idea and convinced the idea is different. But I think we are asking the wrong question...

This question is isn't

"Is this good idea?"

The question is

"Can this idea survive?"

The biggest mistake most of us do is we fall in love with our idea, and once you fall in love every positive comment feels like validation and every criticism feels someone "he doesn't't get it"

So here is the mindset I'm trying to follow with every idea. Don't fall in love with your idea treat it like your enemy, challenge every assumption fight with it and try to kill it...

Ask questions like

Why this idea? Why should I need to implement this? Who actually have this problem? How are they solving it today? Who are my competitors?

Ask every question. The biggest trap where most people fall they generally check their idea on the internet and if found nothing they are like hurray they are no one but the reality is different it not true the real compitition lies in different places which we don't even think they are like open source tools, adjacent tools that are adapted to solve 70% of the problem, workaround, workflow and lot of people adapted to the problem and don't need a solution. No visible compition isn't a validation it could be also a warning sign or problem isn't painful enough to solve.

If you're idea does

It is not failure...

You just saved yourself months or even years of building something nobody wanted.

If it survives every attack...

Then you've earned the right to move to the next stage talking to right people.

I'm applying exactly this to my own ideas and I've finished first stage challenge my own assumptions the next step is taking the real people and replacing the assumptions with evidences before implementing it.

If this process continues to prove useful, I'll share the I'll continue share the step by step framework in my next post if possible so any one who want's to build can use it too,
