This comic looks seriously cool

Sorry for the glare. I had to take photos of my iPad screen lol.

It's called The Journey of Ice and Steel. It's still pretty new but it seems promising. It has really neat world building and competent female representation so far. I hope it gets lots of readers because I'm kind of obsessed and I want more stuff like this one Webtoon.

How can I get scleral lenses?

I was diagnosed with dry eye and prescribed cyclosporine eye drops.

I don't know how bad my dry eye is. I would say mild to moderate? They are often red but don't usually hurt unless I've been staring at a screen for too long.

I am almost completely unable to wear eye makeup because my eyes will be so sensitive and will feel achy for days after.

I REALLY want to wear contact lenses because I hate glasses, but I have contact lens intolerance and my eyes are just too dry. (I've tried dailies too)

I would love to have scleral lenses but I can't afford it out of pocket. What criteria do you need to meet for insurance to cover it?

My boss found these creepy notebook pages scattered outside our workplace

Some of the papers contained the person's personal information so I cut those out/censored them. Do you think it's just the ramblings of a mentally ill person or something else?

Webtoon is officially a souless husk. (unhinged rant)

I'm probably preaching to the choir here but I've been on the platform for 9 years and I swear there used to be a golden age of Webtoon. I remember when comics like Castle Swimmer and Bluechair were super popular and nearly everyone was an indie creator.

Now it feels like I have to search for literal hours to find anything worth reading or even remotely unique. The writing and dialogue is so corny and dumbed down that it's for actual lobotomized toddlers and the constant trope spam like "reincarnation" or "overpowered chosen one MC" makes me want to bash my face into a wall.

Seriously, who wants to read this crap? It's like everything is AI generated. All of the characters are copy-paste cardboard cutouts.

It is a complete and absolute death of creativity and it makes me so depressed because Webtoon is the reason I wanted to become a professional webcomic artist. It ignited my imagination and my passion for art like nothing else but now I feel like I hardly recognize it.

It seems like the stuff that's worth reading is pretty much just on Canvas these days, but canvas creators are denied the funding and sponsorship of a larger company that would allow them to reach a larger audience and have access to editors to reach their full potential. Not to mention the algorithm for discovering comics on canvas is abhorrent. You either get lucky enough to have your comic featured by a staff member or rely entirely on external social media platforms to get discovered.

Not that it's a good thing to enter a contract with Webtoon to begin with, since it's akin to making a deal with the fucking devil with how predatory they are. Even unique comics like HAZESHIFT suffer terribly with pacing and quality control, probably because the artist is underpaid and rushed to hell.

I just really wish there was an alternative to Webtoon that wasn't a manifestation of capitalist dystopia. Probably only a matter of time before they start introducing fully AI generated comics. I just can't see it getting any better.

is this a concept people would actually be interested in?

basically a monster girl wakes up in a strange facility with no memory of how she got there. Inspired by the SCP foundation and some other stuff I like like Portal 2. I feel like it’s cringe idk

Is 4-6 mm upper jaw width deficiency enough to justify an expander?

I doubt anyone will respond to this but whatever.

Im 22F and went to the orthodontist who said my upper jaw is 4-6 mm narrower than it should be.

He proposed MARPE which would be over 6k and insurance doesn't cover it.

My tongue doesn't feel like it fits in my mouth properly and it's scalloped from pressing against my teeth.

The main issue is that I have chronic throat, face, and scalp tension that drives me crazy but I can't tell if it's from grinding/clenching or if it's from this.

The orthodontist said that it's considered a "non medically necessary procedure". He doesn't know how much it would help me or if it would be worth it. Has anyone had an expansion like this? What was your experience/what changed?
