Ubering to trail from Asheville airport and back again - will this work?

I am doing a short section hike next week, flying into Asheville and back out a bit later. I’ll need a ride to Erwin TN and back from Hot Springs NC. I’ve used uber to get to the trail in the past, so I already scheduled my rides. But now I’m nervous no drivers will come out to Hot Springs for my journey back to the airport and wonder if I should look into alternative methods just in case. Thanks!

Alcohol based makeup giving me inflammation, itchiness, rough texture- need help with treatment [Product Request]

I have a summer gig where I have alcohol based makeup airbrushed onto my face, neck and hands. Only on my face do I react which tells me it’s not necessarily an allergy and more about my skin barrier getting wrecked from the makeup and/or having to scrub so much to remove. Photos aren’t really showing the scale of the texture change but it’s much rougher than usual and very itchy. I did buy the illilyoon ceramide ato cream and just applied it for the first time. Hoping for some additional suggestions to help me treat this asap because it’s quite uncomfortable and I don’t want this to happen every single time I have to wear this makeup. thanks in advance!

What to do with minoxidil oral supplements since quitting?

Hi all - sorry if this is not allowed. I took Minoxidil for 3~ weeks after a bit of paranoia about my hair thinning. Long story short I have OCD which often has me persuaded I have an illness or circumstance that requires treatment before I even see a doctor. Don't worry, I am handling that. I convinced myself one night my hair was falling out, and whether that is even true doesn't matter because I never saw a doctor and simply acquired a bottle through Hers. Dumb, I know. After shaking myself out of it a bit, I decided I will no longer take the pills. But now I have a near full bottle of them that I paid a decent sum for and am unsure what to do. Should I just take the L and dispose of it safely? Feels wasteful though. But otherwise giving it away is probably equally sketchy.

Client wants their tattoo to be an inky, dark blue. Experience with this?

I usually work only with black and grey, my experience with color ink is limited. They are looking for my usual tattooing style but using dark blue instead. Think: velvet, midnight blue. Subtle. They have melanated skin also, so that is a factor in the healed tone. Suggestions for a blue to go with?

Erwin -> Hot Springs in July - dumb idea?

Section hiker here, about 1/4 done with the AT. I have some sections uncovered in the southern half and would like to get some of that done with some fresh time off I have in July. Ideally I would do Erwin to Hot Springs and then HS to Fontana in October. I don't have enough time to do all of those miles in one trip sadly. I understand it will be hot and humid. But can it still be worth it - especially since it's such a short section? I likely already have my mind made up but need a second opinion (or warning, I guess)

How often, if ever, do you use your trail name off the AT?

I’ve only ever used my trail name while hiking on the AT, but not on other multi day hikes. But sometimes I’m tempted to give it when asked my name elsewhere just because it feels appropriate. Though I wonder if that would be cringe 🤷‍♀️ and I’m not talking about trail angels or folks who provide trail support in general that use their names because obviously it makes complete sense for them to use theirs.

[wtb][wtt]Nemo Tensor Insulated Sleeping Pad - Regular Wide

I currently own a Nemo Tensor all-season ultralight pad in regular size, but would like to size up to the wide version. Open to buying one straight up or would trade for anyone with the opposite need that I have. Thanks!

Hello! Bristol Ren Faire (BRF) is my home faire that I have attended most of my life and have worked on and off for several seasons. I am connected with some of the directors there and would be able to bring this to management's attention if I have the right information. Was anyone on the crew able to identify what year this stream was taken? If this was a while ago it may be harder to justify a ban. His behavior in the clips was very concerning to me as a cast member - our participants have a very low tolerance for harassment like this and work very hard to keep the show a positive, safe experience for all ages. We are encouraged as participants to "say something" when we "see something".

The footage in his stream is poor quality so it is challenging for me to get a read on what season this is. If I have access to the full stream & can identify actors/costumes/set pieces I could find the year this was taken and then forward the video upward to whoever needs to see it to make an assessment. With peace and love to the crew I cannot exactly share this 4hr long episode especially with the cuts for commentary haha. If anyone might be able to send me the entire unedited stream I could potentially be of help here. Also I would be happy to prove my association with BRF with proof to the admins - though I would like to keep that information private as not to reveal too much backstage info & also doxx myself. (BRF owners' are very protective of the background logistics and I do not want to harm my ability to work there).

Edit: I have been sent the entire stream. 10 mins into the footage you see the mid-day parade which is a parade with almost the entire street cast. Very easy for me to date this to 2018 based on who is on cast & what costumes they are wearing. So since this is almost ten years old and we don't know if he still streams at BRF I am unsure if this will be any use to my directors re: Jeremy specifically. However! I do think in general this video is super helpful for management to see & potentially invest time into a rule where patrons cannot live stream at the event as there aren't any regulations that currently address this.
