Why did you chose the CBR? Did any of you drove also the GSX-8R? Please give me some pros and cons for my decision list ;)

I LOVED the e-clutch and the look of Honda, but today I drove the Suzuki and I love how agile it is, how easy to corner. I enjoyed it very much because of the instant power delivery. Was able to move faster in the city without the need of constant downshifting and reving it soo high. Stock sound is terrible in both bikes ;)

Quickshifter and low RPM assist was ok, not that big of a difference from the e-clutch.

In the Suzuki dealership they were warning me from the Honda engine problems that keeps happening right now. But I was reading that it is only in the 600RR, not the 650R. Or am I missing something?

Zawsze miałem w głowie CBR, a do tego teraz Honda wypuściła e-clutch.

Jeździłem na CBR z e-sprzęgłem - cudowny wynalazek. Ale dziś pojechałem też na Suzuki: lżejszy, bardziej zwinny, bardzo mi się podobała moc dostępna od samego dołu, quickshifter działa ok jak dla mnie, RPM assist też daje dużo wolności przy ruszaniu. Do tego łatwiej dostępne/więcej akcesoriów typowo turystycznych jak oryginalne sakwy itd.

W salonie Suzuki straszono także o dużych problemach z seryjnymi wadami silników Hondy, ale wydaje mi się że to dotyczy 600RR, nie 650R.

Co byście wybrali? I jak się podoba biały? Bo brałem pod uwagę tylko czarne moto, ale na żywo ten biały zwalił mnie z nóg.

I’m about to take my motorcycle licence exam. I’ve always dreamed of owning a Honda CBR (I had a RR poster so it is already a downgrade :D) but I’m almost 40 now and I’m wondering whether my back would survive it.

I’m 177 cm tall, 79 kg. I want to ride local routes (mountain area) and around the city, but I also dream about doing a few longer trips - something like 200 to 500 km - although those would probably be occasional. Hard to tell. I also think about doing a route from Poland to Croatia or something like that so around 1000 km in one way. I’m not worried about luggage, because my wife would be going by car anyway :P

On one hand, I really dream about a CBR and a classic sport bike. On the other hand, I know I probably wouldn’t fully use its potential, and I’m afraid that the riding position might be a bit too sporty for me.

Any suggestions?

CB650R is also less expensive and may I be able to find one with an eclutch. But in general, I'm not in love with a naked bike. But I also don't hate them :)
