[eShop/US] Sally Face - $4.94 (67% off) ends: 8/23

Well it’s been a long time coming but here we are. 5 years and 2 sales later and we finally hit sub-$5 USD. We did it, boys. We finally did it.

Sally Face is a point and click adventure game from a single developer named Steve. It is extremely well regarded both via Steam reviews as well as the reputation is has cultivated over the past several years.

I will disclose nothing else of the game, just know that experiencing it blind is the intended way to play. Good luck.

[eShop US] Front Mission 1st Remake - $3.49 (90% off) ends 9/3

What it says on the tin. If you played any of the FM games on either the SNES or PS consoles you will probably dig this mech flavored SRPG. Be warned however the pre-existing issues with the original FM are still very much here (merciless RNG).

$3.49 is a fairly large step down from its normal $9 sale
price and the bundle and duo collections have yet to see a large discount. Hoping eventually the bundle sees a drop below $71 USD.

It’s 2002 and you’re going to the lake for summer vacation…

Our 2002 Shasta Oasis being pulled by our 2000 Ford Excursion (6.8 gas). Been a few years putting everything together but these two have withstood the test of time despite both being scale breakers.

Want to thank this Reddit for all the help I’ve gotten from just reading posts. Here’s hoping for another few decades out of these two. Cheers and thanks for looking.

[eShop/US] INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road - $48.99 (30% off) Ends 7/30 *Lowest Price Ever*

Alright so this is a tough one but I’ll try to explain the best I can. This is a soccer RPG developed by Level 5. Level 5 makes good stuff but is terrible at marketing. This gen they are responsible for Fantasy Life i and Megaton Musashi which are two very content rich RPGs that both have pretty solid followings. Inazuma Eleven is in a similar vein but closer to a sports anime instead of a mecha one.

$48.99 is not a great price for this sub, I will heartedly admit this. That being said price charting speaks for itself and Level 5 as a PUBLISHER has been hesitant to discount this game, likely on account of the fact it still has charts well in SA and Japan despite having almost no presence in North America. Megaton saw a huge cut only a couple months after release which is fitting as it commercially faceplanted. FLi has taken literally 8 months to see a smaller reduction in that and my guess is it’s because it actually sold well. Inazuma Eleven is in that second category.

It will go on sale again, but this is the first sale it’s seen and I don’t know if we’re going to see a deeper cut since the game still sells.

Goemon Daishuugo! Early release!

Just in case you preordered, Goemon Daishuugo!, the Goemon collection handled by M2, just went live a day early.

A super pleasant surprise, though I don’t know if the sub-5000 yen discount is still active.

Inherited a Mopar, what do I do with this thing?

So I’ve been lurking here for a while, trying to give out my unique brand of advice when I can and trying to help filter out the “Mazda’s economy vehicles have the interior of a Mercedes and the performance of an AMG” that has been leaking into here from other car subs. With that out of the way I’m in a super weird position (a good one to be fair, but still I’m on the back foot and need some guidance).

I recently inherited what I’m guessing is a project car from old man. The whole “Pole barn full of car parts and literal car bodies and frames” is something I’m going to have to figure out eventually but that’s not parked in my driveway with a bunch of “extras” that beg to be rifled through.

So the car is a 2012 Challenger RT, popping the hood it looks like there’s an aftermarket intake, oil catch and a strut bar. Engine is the 5.7, manual trans, looks really clean but like “I don’t think he ever drove this, not because it’s pretty but because I think it never left a lift” clean. In the box of included tricks there is supposedly a Whipple that was removed at some point and exhaust parts (guessing stock resonators).

This is where I feel like I don’t really know what to do. My garage is very utility (99 Excursion, 14 Fist, 21 Outback) and I don’t really know what I would do with this thing. I mean it goes pretty quick, but I’ve been dailying a FiST for quite a while and while I know the ST isn’t fast it makes up for it by being very dramatic but that’s neither here nor there. The Whipple (if that’s actually what’s in the box) seems like that could be fun but is there a reason he would have removed it? The handling is honestly better than I thought if that makes sense. I’ve driven a lot of JDM stuff that came across my doorstep when I was in college so I kinda just assumed that when I floored the Challenger in 3rd it would break the tires free but it didn’t so I guess I underestimated the car based on the memes that have been floating around.

TLDR: Handed a Challenger that I know nothing about, offload it, finish it, or just keep it and try to enjoy?

EDIT: Corrected engine config, don’t know why I wrote 5.4.

[eShop/US] Earthion - $9.99 (50% off) Ends 7/9

Koshiro’s shmup, lowest it’s ever been, has taken some time to get here (on Switch at least). Meta of 85, Steam 95 but limited reviews because it’s a fairly niche product.
