Best Reston apartment for young couple (mid-20s) near RTC/Metro? Skymark vs Avant vs Harrison vs Faraday Park
My wife and I are relocating for my work in Herndon and are looking at apartments in/around Reston. We’re both in our mid/late 20s and want somewhere that feels walkable, social, and convenient, but we’re trying to stay around $2,700/month all-in if possible. We have some wiggle room but certainly not over $3,000.
We’re considering:
• Skymark
• Avant at Reston Town Center
• Signature (personal favorite so far)
• Harrison
• Faraday Park near Reston Station / Wiehle
• Possibly Passport in Herndon as a more practical commute option
We like the idea of Reston Town Center because of restaurants, walkability, and having more going on, but Faraday Park seems like it may be a better value near Metro. We’re also trying to figure out whether RTC is actually a good place for younger people to meet friends and go out, or if it’s too quiet/suburban compared with Arlington. We’re very social and easygoing people and love to go out in hiking groups, experience night life, etc.
Would love any local opinions on these buildings, management, noise, parking, social vibe, Metro access, commute to Herndon, and whether Reston Town Center or Reston Station is the better choice.
Thank you!
